I just picked this up after looking around for a good starting daw. Im a musician but I don't know shit about digital music so im looking forward to making some noise. I've been looking at Mixcraft in the past few days and if this was Pro Studio, I'd go for it. Unfortunately the Recording Studio edition doesn't come with one of the plug-ins I want it for. Guess I'll hold out for another bundle or sale.

Mixcraft is easily the best DAW I'd reccomend for beginners. Also if you want to upgrade to Pro, just email their support line.. they offer cheaper upgrade plans.

The DCO 106 was an absolute treasure. I'm very happy with this bundle. But I also wonder what someone said in the other video, what is it with the license? Can we make modifications of the loops, sell projects (games) with these loops on them? And so far my ears still work. Nice.

Yes in regards to the license. You just have to make a derived work from the loops. For example, if your game soundtrack just contained the loop and that's it, that's a no-no. If your soundtrack *USED* the loop to make a new song, thats fine and can be redistributed royalty free.

One simple tip. You can choose a backing track in the key of "C Maj" or "A Min" and then play randomly using white keys of the piano only. It will sound alright. At least no bleeding ears :))

Probably super obvious to other people but I'm stupid. Is it possible to use MixCraft for game sounds as well? Like shooting, jumping, running. Basically, sounds effects.

You sure can, there are other simpler tools that can also do this but if you want to record, cut and mix sound effects pretty much any DAW can work for you

Truth told, collaborations are generally SLOOOOOOOOOOW to happen. Doing such things in a timely manner is unlikely. Now I would certainly be willing to do a collaboration with a proper musician on a game dev audio tutorial at some point in the future... those kinds of things do not really have time constraints. Plus, I have an almost gleeful amount of fun making these videos.

you can try to change the scale of the body to negative value, in some situations it does the trick... like if your body scale.x is 1 set it to -1
