This is a completely optional recommendation but if you would like One Quick Beginner's Tip for demonstrating piano rolls with a nice sounding composition, I recommend the easiest musical scale that any beginner can play: A minor pentatonic. Just use A, C, D, E, and G. Five white piano keys (skip the B and F keys, don't use them), nice and minimalist and good-sounding. As for instrument, Piano is a perfect choice. if you must pick a synth, choose one that's like a piano: Brief noise, not too high or low a pitch (so C4 for example is good), quickly fades out.
@bearsoundzMusic4 жыл бұрын
@@NitroNovaMusic Very true! A lot of good songs are made with that scale. Many does not understand 'scales', and that is a reason for a lot of bleeding ears ;p The simplest thing in writing music, is to start *happy tunes* on C and and only use white keys (c-major), or to start *sad or epic songs* on A, *and* only use white keys! (a-minor) and if you want to use a VST -get *Synth1*! It is *amazing* and there are prpl 50K+ free presets for it!

I’m quite happy to see a positive review as well as all these positive comments. I started causally recording music (myself and friends bands) in 2011 in high school. I was a total novice and can’t seem to remember how I landed on Mixcraft but it was the first DAW I used and what I learned on. As I got more experience and became more proficient at audio production I realized there were lots of more “legitimate” and popular DAWs out there and I experimented with a few of them. They all seemed overly complicated and not much more capable than Mixcraft so I just stuck with it. The past couple years I’ve done tens of hours of live recordings with my band, often recording up to 10 mic and DI channels at a time and then mixed those recordings using both the included and some additional effects plugins with great results. A few people I’ve played the finished recordings for couldn’t believe they weren’t professional recordings. I think that’s good enough for me. Recently I’ve thought about trying out another DAW but I really don’t see any reason now especially since I have 10+ years of experience with Mixcraft.

Version 9 comes with "a lot" of instruments. The effects are very descent and the "pianissimo grand piano is superb", and the drum section is huge...I produce most of my music in Mixcraft. It's a good product with a very affordable price. The interface is clear and easy to navigate, there are no nonsense. I love it, really.

I was first introduced to DAW/music production at elementary school with mac os x 10 garageband and I will be honest, the musical typing keyboard changed my life forever. I taught myself piano on it and immediately started to record my own tunes. I didn’t have a mac at home and so always missed recording at home. One day I looked up “garageband for PC” and voila! Mixcraft! Fast forward and I use the pro version all the time. Favorite DAW of all time.... it was and is superior imho for the fact I am easily able to merge this DAW with my analog multitrack reel to reel setup.... great for chasing analog wav forms with melodyne into midi etc..... or for just recording wav files from analog sources.... I have done things with this DAW that I have never found anywhere else.... Man I love this DAW
