I was thinking the same thing. It's really fascinating to watch in this game because their clashing playstyles have such a direct and visceral consequence. Arin takes so many risks setting up huge combos without the experience to do so quickly and consistently that Dan, by just matching the pretty colors as they come and sending single puyos(?) into Arin's area is enough to screw him over. If Arin paid attention to how Dan played, and really wanted to win, he'd know to take fewer risks and play around just having to work with those individual puyos(??) as they come and just outpace Dan bit by bit. Arin might actually have an easier time winning against someone who's a little bit MORE skilled than Dan, because then his opponent would also try for bigger combos and open themselves up to smaller attacks that do more damage, proportionally. Anyway, fun stuff to watch.

Arin adaptet to it verry fast. after two rounds arin suddenly got the feeling for the combo's (of course he isn't an expert at it) Which just outgunned dan his punny little 1 combos. So it ended with a draw

That's how it is with Puyo Puyo when you're a beginner, the less you try the better you play, this changes a lot as you start being able to calculate better, the game is much harder than it looks and you need to be really fast too. I've seen some people say that it takes years.
