Well the developers are from Canada, but the actual IP is owned by Nintendo, a Japanese company, and the Grumps, being American, would have had the game due to Nintendo of America, so basically, the self deprecating ones are Piston, Hugger, and Macho, because if any of the companies took offense, they could (in the developers and Nintendos case) take the character out of any version, or (in the case of NOA) take Macho Man out in America specifically

Zeromega159 You heard it right the second time. He's saying "nigeta", "escaped", noting Mac dodged the blow. Another thing he says when you dodge him is "yaro na!", which could be translated as "Why you little...!", or "You rascal!" I thought I could also hear "yudan shimashita!", "I was careless!" at one point, but I can't find it a second time, so maybe not. When he dodges you, he gives the classic "osoi!": "Too slow!" Most of what he's saying before attacking are just hot-blooded Japanese shouts, without much literal meaning so much as contextual meaning, although he does say, "ichi, ni...!", "One, two...!" before one of them while winding up sometimes. Only other one I can hear clearly is one of the ones while he's getting up, "mada mada". I'd say "mada" translates most closely to "more", if we're going literally, usually used in the context of "I can handle more", or "I can keep going" so for a liberal, lively translation, "I'm not done yet!" will do. Otherwise I can't hear much more because the guys are often talking over him. I also can't make out what he says between rounds; it appears to be poetry, often spoken _very_ formally, and I'm a basic speaker at best. What he says right before the second and third round is a basic "ichi, ni, san!", or "One, two, three!", followed by one of the aforementioned shouts, though. Note that a lot of that are liberal translations, because the Japanese don't speak the way we do. You can literally translate it for the most part in spite of this, but it ends up looking awkward and often nonsensical, so I prefer to translate in the spirit of what's being said instead. Your preference may vary. Got a little carried away regardless, so if that was a bit much, sorry about that. You did seem interested, so there you go if so.

Also, it's kind of funny how everyone's willing to point and go "Oh, that's racist!", but when such characters are done playfully and respectfully, they have lots of personality to spare because of how distinct and expressive they become. Racism in itself isn't a bad thing. It's when we're _dicks_ about it and/or in a rush to be offended over nothing that it goes south. Otherwise, it's fun to celebrate what makes us different and to have a laugh at our own expense.

Ok a few things and please give it a thumbs up so they can read it. 1. press buttons when you knock someone down to regain life. 2. press start (I think) between rounds and Doc will eat a candy bar and you will regain life. 3. Save up your star punches and for super punch. 4. If you get knocked out press buttons really fast before Mac hits the ropes and you will stay up for one more knock down (sometimes). And 5. Try to counter punch when the character is red and you will get stars sometimes. Good Luck Danny. I look forward to seeing this play through......Oh and one more thing.....DUCK DAMMIT!!!!

I'm glad that Danny is gradually learning as he battles. That Piston Hondo battle was a great example. He had no clue at the start, but gradually got the basic strategy down. Sure it's not optimal (timing those punches for those stars for instance) but he got there! Hope Danny keeps improving.

Amethyst Spark I would say mainly because they shouldn't waste all their roster space on the same new IPs. I'd rather see more varied new characters like Isaac from Golden Sun or Shulk from Xenoblade. It's great to see this game getting its spot in Smash, but Golden Sun was little more than a single stage, song and assist trophy in Brawl. It's bad enough that Starfox took up 3 roster slots with very similar characters and the Mario IP eats up a huge chunk of the roster alone. A boxing themed character could bring along some great new gameplay, but I'd rather see no more than one or two characters per franchise so we can get a little more variation in there. Like, why have Ness and Lucas when they're so similar in play styles? Not saying King Hippo wouldn't be very different from Lil Mac, but I'd rather not see Sakurai and friends spend their roster space on a bunch of old returning characters and only a couple new IPs. We know a lot of characters from Melee/Brawl are sure to come back in the new iteration simply because fans couldn't accept a Smash Bros without them, so based on what they've said about roster size being similar to Brawl, we probably don't have a lot of space for newcomers.
