I absolutely love this game. I don't ever watch let's play videos but since its Windjammers I couldn't pass it up. I remember playing this often at Walmart in the mid-90s on the Neo Geo 4 game arcade machine. This is available for the PS4 and is occasionally on sale in the PS Store for anyone that might be interested.

Yeah, our local Wal-Mart had a 4-game Neo-Geo cab as well, It had World Heroes 2 Jet, Zedblade, Samurai Showdown and I think Metal Slug. Next to the Neo-Geo machine was Cadillacs and Dinosaurs.

that game rocks. i remember my local arcade had it as one of the games in a neo geo 4-in-1 acabinet and I spent quite a few quarters on this game. I could beat the first two opponents, but then the game really amps up and kicks your ass

Windjammers rules. And Joe is right, 2-player mode is the only way to go, as with most arcade sports games or fighting games. The personal competition is what this kind of game is all about.

I have both games on the Switch and while I have a good deal of respect for Disc Jam, Windjammers just feels a lot better on a gameplay level. Hopefully the announced Windjammers 2 will recapture the fast-paced magic of the first game.
