Glad to see Policenauts mentioned in this episode. Truly a great game and the successor to my favorite game of all time, Snatcher. Damn shame it was never officially released over here but thank goodness for the English patch.

Mr. Kojima has been pretty honest about the films that inspire him. Snake from Metal Gear is inspired by the hero with the same name from "Escape from New York." Oh and Snatcher has a lot in common with Terminator. If you love Policenauts try Snatcher. It's another great gem.

I've played the demo for Metal Wolf Chaos; it was hidden on one of the OXM demo discs back in the day. REALLY wish it had seen a US release; that demo was a blast to play.

MoonSpirit Because of by the time it came out it was already pretty late into the original Xbox, and localizing it with the 360 looming with a small budget for marketing probably for a niche tittle was probably it, or at least that's my assumption.

Seriously...From Software would never release this game in the US, if certain people caught wind of a JPN game making "fun" of the American government heads would have rolled. W was still president, no way this game was coming out over here. Even now From won't entertain a US release, Digital Devolver asked and they ignored the request. Part of it was also due to Metal Wolf Chaos being a parody for George W. Bush and Dick Cheney, so it was created over a decade ago. From Software didn't know if we'd "get the joke" or find it insulting, so they held it back.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think you've ever covered Bahamut's Lagoon for the SNES. It's a tactical RPG made by squaresoft. You can download a patched rom so your not totally stuck as it's pretty unplayable in Japanese.

The patched version of Policenauts is so cool I was able to pickup a limited edition repro with the patch at the last PRGE. Super high quality job on it, full color super glossy cover and the discs look very similar to working designs, iridescent and shiny.

PSA(that lots of commenters probably already pointed out) Chalvo 55 is a semi-sequel to the unreleased Virtual Boy game Bound High where you controlled the ball form of Chalvo bouncing on enemies from a top-down perspective, made awesome by the Virtual Boy's 3D capabilities. A rom as well as reproduction cartridges are available, try it if you have a Virtual Boy!
