really cool to see pokemon on first step. I would love to see a regular pokemon speedrun attempt tho, just to really show how hard it actually is and how much of a difference between an experienced runner and someone new. Everyone can see the skill of a dark souls speedrunner, its a lot harder to evaluate with pokemon. The first step would be a great opportunity for that imho

I recently played a reproduction cart of Pokémon Green using the Japanese Green sprites but the American Blue English script. Seeing these sprites again is a nice surpise for this run to be sure, but a welcome one.

Didn't they take artwork left over from other games to use for a bunch of the sprites? If so, that could easily explain it. I do love me that pissed off Eevee, though.
