Freya Valentine The imperial engineers can't replicate the more complex parts of the tank boiler but rebuilding/changing the other parts is not a problem. In the rare case of a boiler exploding, they just put the pieces together as best as they can, the tank sometimes losing some effectiveness. You may be able to fix your car but making a brand new engine yourself is something else.

Your comment is 3 years old, so I guess this kind of counts as a necro. Anyways, Humans are THE interesting faction in the Warhammer universe. Every other faction except for the lizardmen, tomb kings and skaven are literally THE most popular way they are depicted. Dwarves? Angry mining people with technology. Elves? Arrogant people. Some of them live in the woods. Some are evil. Orcs? They do be Orcs tho not gonna lie. Humans? Usually the absolute good guys in fantasy settings, just sitting there being a victim taking everything, but in Warhammer bby. Absolute fanatic madlads, hating and killing everything that slightly annoys them, the super Chad of the Warhammer universe. Lizardmen tomb kings and skaven are all interesting concepts to and form my top 4 favourite factions together with empire, however they are never gonna beat my boy Franz. Edit: I forgot the vampires: Oh no! How could I forget the most original faction to ever exist! They do be doing vampire stuff.

That being said, I think it is silly that people should be concerned about their kids seeing blood in a war game. Living things have bodily fluids. If you cut me, do I not bleed?

The Empire was my favorite army in the tabletop game. A mix of the historical Holy Roman Empire during the Renaissance era, fantasy elements like wizards and griffins, and steampunk elements with mechanical horses and steam tanks! My army was that of Talabecland, because red and yellow are my two favorite colors.

i think it kind of reflects the way that the factions are - Cathay was never really developed in tabletop so they had to go with a more mysterious, "awe-inspiring" kind of vibe because there wasn't much to go off of in the lore other than "they're pretty cool and have a big wall". meanwhile, this one is a lot more grounded because The Empire is the "main character", the star of the show. there's oodles of lore and they know exactly what they're going for when they do stuff for The Empire hence it feels a lot more solid

Ow how I LOVE The Empire. I am ALWAYS the one that choose the dark side over the 'good' side, but Karl Franz, has style. The Empire ( in my humble opinion) is in my eyes even better at the modern engineering then the dwarfs, who are known for there master engineers, and they are, but the steam tank is just THE best of the best in this game. It has safe me so many times. I won the campaign with those, I had 10 steam tanks in use, and it was worth EVERY penny. The Empire is just amazing cool in Warhammer total war. I am now at turn 185 of the Vampire Counts, and I like it, and I thought they where weak, but with some good use of the magic they have, they are not all that bad. But I have not encounted a Steam tank yet, and I will fear the day if I will with the Vampire Counts xD So I send my armies, Helman Ghorst, Mannfred von Carstein and of course Heinrich Kemler to destroy them as fast as possible now I am at the better position. Just don't give them a change to create Steam tanks and demigryph knights

Still, you almost never fight them in any of the campaigns as empire lol. Every now and then Skarsnik would raid, but VC/Chaos vs Empire would've been a lot closer to what you fight in the game.
