I bought this day 1! Barring using the original hardware, nothing is more authentic than this.

I love how this has better QoL features than most other pro reverbs I own. I can't name any other reverb that lets you choose your input channels, and setting dry and wet separately is not nearly common enough. I might pick this up just for that alone.

This is cool, working on a project that should benefit from this. I was hoping the loyalty discount would be a bit better, but it's certainly better than not having one at all. Also, could you tell me where you got the 'piano' sound at 01:19? Is it from SAC, and if so, which preset/sound? Thank you 🙏🏻

Fun! Previously I've used Miniverb from Audiothing which is sort of an 8-bit/chiptune reverb effect, but this one goes many levels deeper with the modelled algorithms and more. Can't wait to try it!

Sounds like a piano patch from DX7. There are many ways of getting it. From using DX7 emulators (dexed is a free one) to getting the right soundfonts/sampler presets

A good sound designer can mimic all of those types of reverb using some ADSR tricks. Some games for the Sega Genesis, the Neo Geo, and the Commodore 64 were very convincing.

First preset I tried was "Super Mario World (Valley of Bowser)" and I couldn't tell it was even doing anything... I turned the dry signal all the way down, and there's literally just silence; Nothing on my channel strip's meters, which tells me the Wet signal is completely non-existent. Going through dozens more patches, there are quite a few like that: Many of them put out almost no audio, or a bunch of glitchy distorted artifacts. What's the point of those presets if it's only putting out the dry signal?
@ImpactSoundworksLLC4 ай бұрын
If you are hearing glitchy & distorted artifacts, or TOTAL silence, reach out to our support as that may be some kind of bug w/ GameVerb on your system. We can investigate. That being said, some *very subtle* presets are included because that's what was present in the original games. We thought about this quite a bit in development. If we didn't include these presets, people would wonder "Why don't you have presets from XYZ game?" or "Why isn't there a preset from XYZ extremely famous track?" and it would look like we were not thorough. We decided it made more sense to input the values for key games & tracks EVEN IF those values are doing very little, because it accurately represents the settings from the games.
