For the $300-500 monitor range, instead of the M27QX or the MSI MAG274QRX, I think the LG 27GR83Q is the better choice due to that it has HDMI 2.1, and in the USA, can be found on sale for $350 often, instead of $500. @@videogaminbiker889 i’ve bought a lot of monitor arms in the past. I have tried both single arm, dual, and vertical. At the moment I am using a dual vertical mount and while it works really well it can cause strain on the neck if you spend a lot of time using only the top display. Monitor arms that can be moved around freely are useful but there is a limit to how much you can do due to cable management. I’ve never seen an alternative that will allow you to switch the positions of a top and bottom vertically mounted monitor before but if it did exist I can only think of issues with cables. I paid the silly price premium for an OLED gaming monitor, and I'm in love with how crisp and colourful it is. It's not just that blacks are inky, the whites are also beautifully vibrant. ...but for gaming I hardly notice any difference vs. a 1ms IPS panel, with the same refresh rate. The difference between the 1 ms in 0.01ms response time just isn't perceptible to me. Don't regret the purchase because I'm lucky that I could afford it, but I can't say it's a good value for gaming versus a higher refresh rate (or higher pixel density) IPS panel.

Everyone, I’ve tried all of these monitors, save your money. The only one I actually thought to keep was the Zowie 2566k, it will legitimately give you an advantage and edge (rank 10 face it cs) but the 540hz should make that one obsolete at least at its price. OLED text fringing is an absolute nightmare. 360hz IPS is ridiculously expensive for what it is. Zowie’s viewing angles are atrocious. These are all things that one can live with, but for their prices, absolutely not. Quite frankly, unless you’re okay with spending a ton of money on your monitor, there are no good value options other than a 1080p 240hz or 1440p 144-240hz. Keep it under $300 USD and just wait for next year’s options.

You should check out the AOC Q24G2A/BK. A 24", 1440p, 165Hz, ips panel. Great monitor! For those of us that prefer the 24" size, now we finally have the higher res option as well. I'm not shure if it's available outside of the EU/Asian market tho.

There's one amazing monitor that because of problems these type has nobody is considering, and everyone is sleeping on it. The refresh of the first G7 Odyssey 1440p 240hz VA. It's called Odyssey G6. It's an amazing unit. I bought a G6 and a mag274qrf-qd, and expecting to keep the MSI. The G6 is far better. It's like another class of monitor altogether. Similar colours and far better visibility because of the higher contrast and brightness, + the extra clarity from 240hz Vs 165hz, and the MSI is one of the best in it's class range. On the ideal overdrive mode on both, the MSI is virtually perfect. No ghosting, no overshoot, nothing. The G6 has a bit of overshoot, but it is so little that It can't be seen out of the UFO test.

I purchased the Gigabyte M27Q X after this. It is quick, but not sure it is much better than the latest 180 hz 1440p monitors coming out now… 180hz vs 240hz but not much better total response time + input lag for a price premium.

I have Viewsonic XG2431 monitor that I purchased in September 2022, but unfortunately, it broke after just 7 months. There were faint lines on the monitor, and I initiated an RMA process. ViewSonic sent me a replacement, but to my disappointment, after 5 months of use, the same issue occurred again. I reached out to them once more, and they agreed to send me yet another replacement. So, at the moment, I'm using the monitor, but I'm apprehensive about it breaking again. My research indicates that this is definitely a defect in this model. It feels like I'm using a ticking time bomb. Nonetheless, the monitor is exceptional for gaming; I just need to make some adjustments to the settings.

Currently gaming at my 4k QD ips msi monitor 😌. No text issues, no burn-in, high enough refresh rate. My mind is free from placebo effect of chasing the higher refresh rates. 😌

Thank you for very good content you produce, I realy enjoy in your videos. As you said in the video, you don't shoot a lot of products that are in mid tier list of gaming. And I can't quite find myself in the products you are testing. And I think most people, myself included, would be happy if you tested something in that range. You make very good videos and cover all product parameters very well with your "toys" for testing and all that nicely put together in one 10 minute video. I learned a lot from your videos and for that I am grateful, greetings from Macedonia ❤

Phenomenal video optimum, you made me pull the trigger on the asus rog XG27AQMR. Had been eyeing it for a week or so and needed the stamp of approval from the goat himself. This product review stuff is so interesting and exciting to me and seeing how well you do it makes me want to pursue it as a career myself. Thanks for all you do and looking forward to my new monitor and more reviews from you! Cheers dude :D

Really happy with my PG27AQDM. It makes night and day difference in some games compared to IPS and it costs about the same in my country as the AOC alternative. Great video as always

@@WheeledHamster I play first person shooters exclusively and this combined with skilled player results in some of the cleanest gameplay I have ever experienced. However, it’s great for single player games nonetheless; I started playing the Baldurs Gate 3 on my old IPS and then switched to the OLED and man was I blown away by the quality and contrast difference… Also, I’m a freelance video director and for any post and color grading work it’s flawless as well, so perfect combo for my usage mix of chill gaming, tryharding and work.
