@@ikhwan49 using the direct to MP4 format means that if something happens to your OBS while recording you will lose the entire file. MKV means that you'll still have the file. If you could dive into how you separate your game audio, discord and mic that would be super helpful! I've watched some other videos and tried using bananamix or whatever it's called and it always seems to break my audio and give me some super weird audio problems. Cheers man!

Yea same problem here, voice meter is very annoying to use on a laptop, i just want to mute discord while recording, i cant belive its so hard to do so...at this point i think is imposible to achieve this.
@billyanderson36524 жыл бұрын
@@carbustel Download voicemeeter banana, set your discord output speaker as your VB audio cable, set your headphones as your VB audio cable repeat(Within Voicemeeter banana). Now you should be able to hear all discord audio, because it's going through the virtual cable and back to your headphones. Then, set one of your OBS audio tracks to record your VB audio cable as an input, and title it Discord. Now, when you're editing your content, there should be 3 audio tracks. Desktop audio (headphones), your mic, and VB audio cable (Discord audio). Now you can either delete the discord track or mute it where you want to. Note that Voicemeeter will always need to running in foreground or background so that it can relay your audio. If you have any questions feel free to reply!

Some useful tips their, especially the nested scenes. I think you might have made a minor mistake at 7:07 about which audio tracks are used in the stream broadcast. In OBS Studio in Settings Output-> streaming tab, if you specify 'advanced mode' (and not 'simple mode'), you pick via a radio button which track you want to broadcast and it's default to track 1 only. Something for users to watch out for. In 'Simple Mode' I'm guessing all tracks are merged into the stream output then? I've not tried that myself so I can't confirm either way, cheers.

where did you get the URLS for the custom docks? specifically the preview?
@Egobyte834 жыл бұрын
3:30 .. Keep in mind though, even if you use a custom browser dock for Stream Labels, you still need to have the Stream Labels app open in order for any on screen text-based widgets to refresh properly. If you have labels on your overlay, the OBS Studio activity widget won’t work if you only use the docked recent events window. The Stream Labels app saves everything to a txt file that OBS Studio reads for recent followers and such, but it needs for Stream Labels to be open in order to do that.

RE separate audio tracks, it's been my experience in OBS Studio that you have 6 tracks, and when you set your stream output, you chose one of those tracks to broadcast. Pete has the right idea though. What I do is set my OBS output to broadcast audio track 1 then make sure everything that I want to be included in the broadcast is output to track 1 along with the a separate track For example: Desktop goes to track 1 + 2 Mic goes to track 1 + 3 Music goes to track 1 + 4 Discord/VOIP goes to track 1 + 5 Alerts/effects etc go to track 1 + 6

However, if I start recording or Streaming it does work, but only if I minimize OBS which means I can't see any comments. I have set everything up as in your videos, accounting for the change in the video display. Also when I go into the options tab for the display capture the only thing in the display dropdown box is ( Display 1: 1152x864 @ 0,0 ) I have tried the Game capture and that almost works the game image comes up on OBS however its a frozen screen and I can't interact with it. Everything ells work's great if I'm recording or streaming with my Webcam I have no problems with OBS. But if I want to stream a game or even just an image with my webcam in the corner that's when the problems start unless I minimize OBS but like I said if I do that I cant see the chatbox and other stuff. I know you're going to ask so hears some info about my PC. Perhaps i'm wrong, but if you're using ADVANCED for outputting, streaming will only output 1 audio channel. I've been recording all audio to separate channels and whenever I re-setup my OBS, this is the first thing I check. I've actually done a stream somewhat recently without my microphone channel being checked on the channel selected for the streaming output. Overall great video GC, but I would double check this one. I've been looking through and had a look at the audio settings and got it changed from HDMI to analog, I've checked my drivers, I've unplugged and plugged every cable and still no game audio. The idea is to get into live streaming, but so far this is the biggest issue. I'll be streaming from a PS4 Pro, and then try and sort out the audio chat with the chat link cable later. At the moment my main priority really is to get the game audio coming through to OBS. Any advice? thank you in advance

There's a way in Streamlabs OBS where you can have it record your gameplay but capture only the scenes you want it to. That doesn't seem to be something that OBS can do? Easier to name nested scenes "__WEB_CAM" -- I make all nested scenes start with two __ if they are global or just one if they are a scene specific nested scene (for filters). And always cap the nested scenes and normal scenes aren't capitalized. [NS] everywhere is cluttered af.
