Great playthrough. I really enjoy this one, although I've only had the opportunity to play solo. After a couple plays I started to see the strategies around managing your virtue to get optimal debts and deeds & manipulating the poverty and prosperity decks in order to get the best end game bonuses. A lot of hidden depth and engaging gameplay. Seems beneficial to go after two of the main actions (nobles/building/manuscript). I tend to go for a nobles/building strategy but there's a lot to be said for manuscripts too. I like that all three paths offer bonuses to help you along.

Really enjoy the playthrough. Viscounts is one of my favorite solo experiences. I too get frustrated at an AI where I basically have to play as 2 players because their turns are so involved. This one is streamlined yet interactive enough that I feel like I'm actually playing against someone. I enjoy it a lot even though I lose most of the time.

Really enjoyed that play-through, Paul, thanks for the entertainment! Just FYI, many times during that play-through, you missed pertinent comments and then, when you glanced at the chat, you just saw chatter (great to see the chat so active and many people engaged!). I imagine it’s extremely difficult to play the game correctly, play it well, run a stream, keep it entertaining AND read chat! Not sure what the solution is, but perhaps have a chat admin to highlight important comments - probable rules mistakes etc. - and then read all highlighted comments (or somehow make sure you read more than just, for example, the bottom two comments). Thanks again, very entertaining!

Thanks a lot Paul for this video! I'm not a huge fan of solo modes in any game, basically because I prefer playing with other players instead and because, usually, as you mentioned in the video, the most AI's are very complex and that substracts the fun out of it. BUT I have to admit that after this video, I find the solo mode of Viscounts is very clear and I'm thinking of giving it a try. Thanks again! Keep up the good work! Greetings from Greece! :)

need to play architects with expansion (artisans) and paladins again to decide if I am sure, but I liked the solo mode of viscounts the best I guess.. :)

Have a question about dropping off with the IA:s card from their playerboard. The symbols there, what are they for? Should you take a future card, and use the benefits from the townsfolk where you stand and discard that card from the game? I don´t see that anything happens when dropping a AI card off the playerboard.

I hate flow chart solo modes that take ages. Unfortunately for me David turczi loves them and designs every solo mode ever
