If I could describe Jason in one sentence it would be a quote from Alex Mercer "I am something more than human, but also something less". Different aspects of Jason change, his mentality, emotions, physical capabilities, instincts, he became a stronger human, but loss his humanity in the process. Absolutely love when a character goes through these kind of developmentments. Also both Alex and Jason are fully aware by the end they have change, they are both something more and something less.

I kind of always thought the psychedelic sections weren't necessarily narcotic induced. There's a fair amount of evidence to suggest that the Dagger and the Compass are both pieces of Eden, and just their presence affects the sanity of everyone on the island. Literally EVERY character there is insane, except for Jason's group (though Jason himself starts to fall down that rabbit hole, too.) That and the Abstergo documents you can find lying around.

Fun Fact: When they wrote the story for Far Cry 3, Vaas had never existed as a character. They wrote other villains and held auditions for them. And for Michael Mando's audition, in his own words, he gave them everything but what they asked for, so he didn't get the part. Later on, the writers realized they loved Michael Mando's performance so much that they wrote a whole new character, based solely off of his audition tape, then called him back and offered him to play this new character. And now we have Vaas

To get so close to breaking that we pass it or we actually do and have to retreat in time of reflection and realize we don't ever want that moment to happen again, ex; relationships that lead to bad break-ups, arguments, and in other more extreme cases of losing ones self.

I got this game in secret because I was 13 or 14 when it came out. My parents were really against me playing video games, especially games that were rated M. I loved Far Cry 2 and wanted the third one so badly that I bought PSN cards just so I could buy it off the store. I devoured that game. I beat it three times; once on normal, then hard (getting a different ending on both runthroughs), and then when I saw the insanity difficulty I knew I had to do this, too. It was my first platinum trophied game I've ever achieved and was very proud of myself. I 100% it too, which was a first for me. It sits in my top 5, personally. I played the custom maps for multiplayer as if nothing else existed. Far Cry 3 has a very special place in my heart and I'm incredibly sad that I can't get it to launch in Steam on my PC.

far cry 3 just gave me hope for gaming at the time, i was a young teen who was tired of playing the same shit every year, and back to back came far cry 3, borderlands 2 and BioShock. And god damn it was fantastic, I've played them all in the same month and i never felt like that since then. This was my best time in gaming. And from all those fantastic games that I've played after that only red dead redemption 2 made me feel in the same way. I don't play a lot anymore but it's for game like that i can proudly say that I'm a gamer and that I'll never replace gaming with anything. I got obsessed with Vaas, i watched interviews, reviews, followed the dev on twitter, learn everything about the game and the character, listened to the soundtrack for countless hour. I've even finished the game in multiple languages. French and English, because not only did Michael Mando did a fantastic job with the English version he also made one of the best dub in gaming history in french, crazy right. I don't really know what to think about far cry 6 dlc, I'm afraid of Ubisoft doing a terrible job, I'm afraid that Vaas will just not be the same, I'm just afraid like always Ubisoft is just doing that for an easy cash grab. I've also read the comic recently that came out and that wasn't really good, felt like the person who wrote the story never played the game and just read a synopsis of Vaas

This game had me hooked for months even after I had won everything. After the release of AC3 (which was my first Assassin's creed game) I wanted to give this a try. Even though their dynamic and story telling is different, they both had you questioning so much about being good and evil. Running around killing because someone told you who the enemy was, and not actually looking at the enemy from their point of view. Jason with Vaas, and Connor with Haythem. The lines of morality being more of a circle because we never have the full picture in life. Nothing is simple and freedom is sometimes subjective when it costs lives, whether they be a villain or the hero. Blood seems to always be spilt because like you said there's always someone on top who someone else wants to tear down. Of course Vaas and Haythen are two very different antagonists, it would have been "insane" to look at the world and play as Vaas, like we did with Haythem, before switching to Jason. I know Vaas was trying to kill Jason, but I still believe that he wanted Jason to wake the f*ck up and realize that he is nothing but a puppet who will slit throats when it's convenient for him. Everyone is capable of giving into that monster chained inside, but not everyone is aware that it's there. I loved your breakdown and I would give anything to sit and play this or even talk about it with someone like you. Looking forward to your next video!

Far cry 3 felt like a game that just kept going in a good way. It was as if as you leveled up so did the stuff you were doing and everything felt epic. The island felt like it existed and was happening around you. You would walk up to a base and a tiger or bear would just stroll up. Don't get me started on the Special weapons that just broke the game. Not to mention the fact that by the time you maxed out Jason you still had a fair amount of game to go instead of just one boss like in most games. You spent half the game a super-powered mega human. Greatness. Absolute greatness.

I first played FarCry 3 back when I was in middle school when it first came out. At the time I didn’t fully understand much of the story and meaning until I started high school. I replayed it over and over again and saw a lot of game play on KZbin since I gave away the game. After seeing the reviews, personal opinions, and remembering my personal experience, I legit saw a connection between how I played the game and how I lived my life even to this day. I kept going down a rabbit hole of coming home from school, playing games, doing hw, then sleeping. Sure there was some moments to break the repetition but I went right back to the cycle I was living through. Even Jason was doing the same thing by saving his friends to break the cycle but was brought right back in to the world of chaos and insanity. Sure my life and Jasons life are vastly different but you can see what I mean. I see farcry 3 as my escape to express how I want to feel when life pushes me to the very edge, and then regretting what I say or even do. Jason at the end of the game feels how much he has declined in his sanity and wants to come back one way or another. With me I want to reconnect with people I lost either because I didn’t care for as I should have or have made mistakes to break up what we had to be friends. As Vaas said, “Without family, who the fuck are we?!” Edit: Sorry if this is so long but I was wanting to say how I feel about this game for so long. So much so, to anybody that want to discuss about this further, including you GamingWins, we should create a discord server just talking about FarCry 3. I really want to hear others about what they have to say about, if any of you want.

For me, the Weed field mission was as perfect as can be. I hunt for side missions and always complete them before moving on with the story so when I got to the mission, I had roughly 8 syringes of Invincibility with the duration boost. I didn't even know I would use them, I just thought it was cool to have. So imagine how awesomely powerful I felt as I burned everything in sight, fields, men, barrels, completely untouchable to everything all the while that awesome dubstep pumped in my ear. Since those days of sitting in front of a giant box tv taking 30 minute game turns I've played this game over 6 times that I know of and in a weird way as the setting around me changed and the people I was with changed so did the meaning of this game. Also depressing to see how bad the other far cry entries hold up in comparison to this. It just lets you know how special & beautiful this game came to be.

Far cry 3 was my first intro into the far cry series and damn what a start! I played it years ago a little while after it first came out (had to wait for the prices to drop a bit XD) and I was floored even if back then I couldn’t fully grasp all the undertones and messages in the game I knew it was a one of a kind experience... and honestly the only bad thing you can say about it is that it topped too soon like you said everything after “killing” Vaas (btw I still don’t believe Jason actually killed him) is just...meh? But yeah it’s an awesome game and apart from far cry primal it’s the only one of the far cry games I replay from time to time it’s just that good! So glad you did a video of this game

My first far cry 3 experience: Went to my friends house, played on his ps3, played for an hour bc I was gonna go somewhere with him, went to the first radio tower, got bit by a snake, went to take an outpost and only used a pistol because I didnt realize you could pick up guns

I remember downloading this game on a PC that could barely play it. I modded the shit out of it just to make it playable, and when I finally updated my setup this was the first game on my playlist. Absolute masterpiece, one of the best Ubisoft games ever made.

When I first played it, I was like 9, and it scared me cause I didn’t know people could be insane and I wasn’t used to the epic violence. After like a three year gap, I played it again and fell in love with the gameplay and story. I didn’t stop playing it for a whole year straight, and I haven’t played it in like 4 years now cause I gave my Xbox 360 and the games to my sis after she moved out. Farcry 3 and AC 4 Black flags game play, story, and music make them the best games in my opinion, and if you look closely, there’s some similarities in them. I’d love for you to make a video about both of these games and the parts of the stories that overlap.

My first experience with this game honestly changed me, i know it sounds stupid but I genuinely think this games story made me more mature. I remember getting it and not expecting much but it quickly becoming the only thing I played for a few months. It's to this day my favourite game and it is probably going to stay there

Another video of from the man with the pleasant voice. It's really been a while since I played that game. Really loved it, especially because of Vaas ... hard guess ^^ Well, I played it so long ago, I kind of forget most of the scenes (or was too young to really understand them), so you showing and explaining them here again is great :)

i don't remember when i first ever played this game, but i knew that i was in for a treat. also, i came to the realisation that everytime that knife was involved, weird shit happens. like the knife-fight with Buck, Vaas's sneak attack on Jason... and even the aftermath of the final boss fight made me go: "what the hell happened?!", i even examined Hoyt's body and saw no knife wounds whatsoever. this game blurs the line between reality and whatever Jason has ingested throughout this journey, because whatever drugs he must have taken, must be so powerful that it makes you think: "what's real and not real in this game?" and the scariest part was the giant ink monster, because according to tvtropes, that giant could have been real, but the game never outright tells us if it is. and i prefer it that way. :)

15:21 we might get it in the dlc for what is it…. Far cry 6, given the fact that in the advertisement it shows you playing as him

Btw about vaas having the knife. The way it went in and the result of it makes it very clear that what he was actually stabbed with was a syringe with drugs. Because a stab there wouldve killed jason if it was with that knife (that is too old to be sharp anyway)

I still remember my 1st Introduction to this Game Via RadBrad's Video in early 2014 when KZbin was still new to my Country "India" & I was probably watching the entire walkthrough on my Smart phone because at that time I didn't have a Tv that could play Tv or the computer, than I decided to build my own Computer after watching this game, for me This game is my Introduction to world of Gaming, KZbin, Walkthrough I still cherish those days
