these glorious channels don't even know what's Tolkien themselves they are going after rings of power for showing orc women and babies when Tolkien himself said there is you guys are a bunch of overdramatic drama queen who thinks they are standing up for Tolkien legacy but are only following the movies versions because chapter one of lord of the rings was boring that is what you guys are its the truth if you are the so-called expert fans who know everything in movies is just as un cannon as the show does. so, no, it's not shitty show because you see black dwarves' or elves or the correct version of the orcs, i bet you would disagree if i told you game of thrones season 6 and 7 was shitty every episode and that battle of the Basterds is one of the poorest and scrappiest battles written rings of power had better writing even house of the dragon season 2 was just boring and bad writing

@oskariratinen12133 ай бұрын
@@isaiahwynn-b8h what the fuck are you on about? Orc women and orc children existing does not mean that orcs live in monogamous family units. Orcs are twisted, corrupted creatures bred for one purpose and one purpose only: waging war. They are controlled directly through fear and terror their master invokes in them. Not exactly the most plausible background for a social structure of the traditional nuclear family, eh? I was nine years old when I first read Lord of the Rings. That is more than three decades ago. I've read it at least ten times since then. I've read the Silmarillion at least five times. I've read The Hobbit a few times. I've read the Story of the Children of Hurin. I've read the Book of Unfinished Tales. I've read the Tolkien biography. So what was that again about me only knowing the movies? Also, what the hell are you ranting about Game of Thrones and assuming I think seasons 6 or 7 are good? The first four seasons were stellar, S5 was ok, S6 so-so, S7 bad and S8 absolutely fucking abysmal. Rings of Power was abysmal from the get go and it's not getting better. If you like it, good for you. Go watch it and enjoy it and think you are the authority on Tolkien, have a blast. I really couldn't care less if some bozo actually likes this show. Dwarves don't grow effing crops. Sunshafts would not work. They mine and build and use the proceeds to buy their food from surrounding communities. That's why they specifically mention dwarves and trading, traveling the roads, etc, so much. They have to trade, it's their entire way of life. Although it's possible they have detached surface settlements that work as farmers to contribute to the supply, who live in shallow caves similar to Hobbit holes. They definitely don't grow damn crops down in their mines. Although they could theoretically keep livestock for meat and dairy. That would require a huge amount of provender to be imported to feed them though. No, i think generally dwarves are the industrial urbanites of the world, who focus on their industry and purchase what they need though the surplus wealth it generates. They made that relatively clear in the books i thought, and that the sun shafts were nothing but a very faint connection to the surface to remind them that light and air was there. But only very restricted areas had connection to those.
