If you only knew why.. these days they can’t make good movies because of the award shows and organizations. ALL These companies requires ANY movie that wants to get nominated for any award to have a feminist message, positive LGBT messaging, at least one main character that is a POC, one that is openly LGBT, and a strong female lead. That’s why almost every movie that comes out today is so bland, safe and uninspired. We will NEVER see movies like this again from Hollywood. Besides from the occasional hit from Hollywood from here on out anything that’s good will have to come from independent film studios that don’t care about “being in the club“.

The effects have been topped. But that’s it. The rest of the list stands as best ever. Most of the grandeur of LOTR trilogy wasn’t effects, it was good direction. Real armies of extras, not CGI. Finding great locations and filming in a wide, broad scope to make it seem as big as it is.
@asytippyy3522 жыл бұрын
Christopher Lee was perfect for Saruman because both he and the character wanted nothing more than to be Gandalf. It's a masterful piece of irony if you think about it; because he was tragically denied his dream role, he perfectly embodied Saruman's envious nature and created a far more captivating character for the audience than he had any right to be. I always wonder if he noticed himself, but God, I miss his performances.

I think by the time the white council gathered together in the Hobbit, Saruman already knew of Sauron and he thought he could take a hold of him, thinking Sauron was too weak to challenge him. However, Sauron, as the master deceiver he was, was the one who actually took control of saruman. Also, as we saw in Lotr, had not Rohan and Gondor held fiercely Isengard and Mordor forces, Middle Earth could have fallen into Sauron's grasps, even with Sauron without the Ring. Just I thought
@BeyondDaX2 жыл бұрын
Rohan and Gondor would have fallen if not for the involvement of the fellowship. Both the steward of gondor and Rohan's King Edoras weren't exactly in right frame of mind before gandalf and the others were involved. Both gondor and rohan would have fallen by both Isegard and Mordor rather easily. With or without the ring, Middle Earth would have fallen but it was only through good fortune that things went as they did.
@swaghauler8334 Жыл бұрын
The original book varies from the movie here. Saruman was UNKNOWINGLY corrupted by Sauron. He used the Seeing Stones to gather intel on Sauron and Sauron began to influence him, playing on his jealousy and ambition for power. Saruman had NEVER INTENDED to serve Saron. He wanted to capture the One Ring and use it to CHALLENGE Sauron for supremacy of Middle Earth. This is how the movie and the book departed in their storylines.
@Postidemoni11 ай бұрын

Yes and no. Set out to beat him with his own weaponry or other dark methods, but like j.r.r. Sought to teach us, darkness corrupts all who use it. Saruman thought he could dominate and trick sauron after communing with him, and always with the end goal of replacing him as dark power and ruling always marvelled him.. as saruman had dominated so many others with his voice alone, he thought he could do the same with now weakened sauron, but it was sauron who tricked and dominated saruman, appealing to his pride, insecurity, jealousy and vanity to make him almost unrecognisable in the end.
