The youngsters need to realize the “OGs” who make it to their 50s and were really active are either 1 of 2 things… a) Miracle cases, meaning it is a miracle they’re still alive… or b) Lying about how active they were in the streets and/or in the pinta. Italian mob recruits both in italy and the US had to be co-signed or sponsored for membership. Plenty of hoods and varrios across the nation have been co-signing for heads since the 40s n 50s. Co-sign is simply synonymous with "vouching" for someone. If you co-sign or vouch for someone and they screw up or end up all bad, you who co-signed or vouched are now in the hot seat same as them.
