When I got back to our facility, I went to the technician and had him add twice as many lights and double the 100w speakers. And for heavens sake, if you have to speed up to get past the moron on your right who hasn’t pulled over to his/her RIGHT to get out of your way so you can get out of the officer’s way, DO IT!

Its a combination of people being brain dead and clueless, focusing on phones/screens in their cars, and modern cars being much more quiet or isolated in terms of external sounds. Add on people listening to their radio loudly and it isn't surprising that they can't hear much. Especially given how bad most people's hearing is to begin with when it comes to parsing sounds. Having a lack of repercussions for not moving over certainly does not help either.

You can tell that Trooper Clayton is a veteran, as he follows the police pursuit procedures of "get the F out of the way" as he remains in lane 1 until he has to switch it up, instead of changing all over the lanes and shoulders just to get to the engagement as most rookies do - scaring the shit out of everyone.

The MSP had so many chances to stop the motorhome but had to wait for for approval. By the time MSP got permission the motorhome was heading Nort in a South bound lane putting many peoples life in danger as the MSP chases the motorhome on the interstate. The MSP called again to make sure it was still ok to pit the motorhome.. He got no response, So he pitted anyway. Pursuit videos prove how many motorists are totally clueless when they drive. Be it via texting, cell phoning, loud music or being nearly asleep at the wheel, they fail to respond to emergency vehicles right on their tails ... with horns sounding and siren screaming. Nationwide, failing to pull over as quickly as possible is a high-points citable offense, though what officer is going to be thinking about that when concentrating on a pursuit.
@ShaggyRogers12 жыл бұрын
The problem with enforcing the "get over" law is that the emergency being responded to is more important than ticketing the fucker who won't get out of the way. The only problem with doing that is you don’t know who’s driving the vehicle which means it can easily get thrown out in court same thing on pursuits.
