Trooper's Narrative: On March 28, 2023, approximately 4:40AM I was patrolling the area of Fair Park Blvd near Interstate 630 when I observed a black Nissan Maxima bearing Arkansas MKAHHB (V1) sitting at a red light waiting to merge onto I630 west. The license plate showed the registration to be expired since April 2022. While traveling westbound on Interstate 630 at John Barrow I was initiated a traffic stop on V1. Upon initiating the traffic stop V1 driver S1, exited I630W onto John Barrow and began fleeing northbound. The pursuit went eastbound on Rodney Parham Road from John Barrow and eventually turned east on 12th Street. While fleeing on the city streets S1 was driving very aggressively and at speeds in excess of 100-mph in an attempt to evade. S1 was driving on the wrong side of the roadway during the pursuit and showed no signs of stopping to surrender. As the pursuit continued east on 12th Street, S1 failed to stop at numerous red lights while fleeing at high rates of speed. At the intersection of 12th Street and Fair Park, S2 tossed a black and blue bag from V1 that was later recovered by LRPD. Shortly after the bag was tossed from V1, I was able to perform a Tactical Vehicle Intervention (TVI) on V1 bringing the fleeing vehicle to a stop. All occupants in the vehicle were taken into custody without further incident. Upon talking with S1, she stated that she wanted to pull over, however, S2 had a gun threatening to shoot her if she stopped. Inside the recovered bag, was a Ruger .25cal pistol (U001365) and a homemade plastic bottle used for inhaling narcotics. Located inside V1 sitting in the front passenger seat was a small black baggy containing marijuana where S2 was sitting. Once the firearm was recovered, I spoke with S1 about what the incident that unfolded inside V1 during the pursuit. S1 explained she wanted to stop but was unable to due to S2 threatening her with the firearm. S1 was able to describe what the firearm looked like based on the colors. After clearing the scene, both S1 and S2 were transported to Baptist Little Rock to be cleared by medical staff before being transported to the Pulaski County Jail. S1 was charged with the following: 5-54-125(d)(2): FLEEING - FELONY - VEHICLE OR CONVEYANCE - SUBSTANTIAL DANGER OF DEATH FD 27-50-308(b)(1)(B) 1ST: RECKLESS DRIVING - 1ST 27-22-104: NO LIABILITY INSURANCE 27-16-303: DRIVING ON SUSPENDED LICENSE 27-52-107: FAIL TO STOP AT RED LIGHT 27-51-304: DRIVING WRONG WAY ON ONE-WAY ROADWAY 27-50-302(a)(7): SPEEDING - MORE THAN 15 MPH OVER LIMIT 27-14-701: OWNER FAIL TO REGISTER VEHICLE - EXPIRED TAGS S2 had several felony warrants out of the Board of Parole and was charged with the following: 5-13-204: AGGRAVATED ASSAULT 5-73-103(c)(1): POSSESS FIREARMS BY CERTAIN PERSONS 5-64-419(b)(5)(A): POSSESS CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE SCHED VI 4 OZ 5-53-111(a), (b)(2): TAMPERING WITH PHYSICAL EVIDENCE 5-73-102: POSSESS INSTRUMENT OF CRIME **The outcome of this case:** The driver, Tanisha Owens, passed away in November of 2023. We know the other states have plenty of hooligans and misfits to entertain us but it seems Arkansas has a record number. Trooper Byrd has the reflexes of a cat He can stop his car, kill the siren and exit the vehicle with weapon drawn in a flash.
@thisabledwoman36376 ай бұрын
These states don’t “post” their videos-it’s just that these states have a higher rate of high speed chases. Most states are a bit more cautious & give deference to the importance to public safety than apprehending a criminal-especially in cases when they KNOW who the suspect is. Since these states have more chases, KZbinrs can easily FOIA the body cam/dashcam footage & post it for all to see-along with the Trooper/police report of the incident. State Boyzzz has a lot of MI State Trooper chases as well.

These states seem to not have much on the books about ending chases for public safety, so they definitely have way more chases (that end in arrest) than most states I think. Well, the driver is as delusional as all get out. First, thinks she 'could have got away'. LOL. And, two, thinks the charges don't count if the trooper isn't wearing his hat. Um. What? That is really reaching there. Sounds like she ran with a rough crowd if one is being held in federal prison on charges. Let's hope any children she had are being raised in loving homes with better chances at life.

It is a big clue you are not getting away when the trooper slows down for the red light only to catch you seconds later.

At 11:09 she said: "Man, I could have gotten away from those mother f----ers, but I couldnt' turn." By talking to herself in the backseat of the police car, she proved criminal intent, beyond any reasonable doubt.

A longer pursuit for the Bird man. Waiting for backup before the pit?
@Clarice-rp7mh6 ай бұрын
Byrd is taking into consideration his surroundings, as he has been trained to do. Manny homes and trees and other cars near by, a high speed chase can become involved. Injury to others is always considered in a PIT maneuver, including those being pursued. Note the opportunity he took, was easy, with minimal damage and less opportunity for injury in the city. Many of his maneuvers are on a highway with much more open space. Even though done at higher speeds, he always chooses his opportunities well, and as safely for everyone as possible to include as little collateral damage as possible. There are people in those homes. This Arkansas program is supported because very few people lose their lives, or are injured and when it happens it is usually the criminal. Zero injuries to civilians and their property is desired. That is why so many dummy lefties have been able to implement a " NO CHASE " policy in their cities and states.

It's 3 minutes in, surprised you haven't done a TVI. At 6:19, you did. Don't we love and believe that driver when she said she ain't done nothing??? Now wonder what the front passenger will say when asked what she threw out the window...hmmm wonder if it was the backseat passenger side who threw it, with all the outstanding warrants , including weapons. and at 1O:55. the woman finally realized her breast was exposed and pulled down her shirt. And the Byrdman once again exhibits his skills in his job. However in the years I have watched videos of ASP, there has been only one Trooper I felt issues about. (Oh, and a PS, he knew what those ridiculous "lashes" on that car were.) Mercy, this is the first of hearing the driver in this crime died in Novem 2023.
