As someone who grew up in the arcades saw them come and go, while having played most of the Neo Geo catalog i must say i never encountered or heard about this game and it looks great.
@SameNameDifferentGame3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it really flew under the radar. I didn't know about it until I saw it in some b-roll during a My Life in Gaming video.

This game looks neat. One of them 7/10 games you go back to from time to time. Never heard of it before. Them bosses are pretty rad looking.

Kind of getting Natsume Shadow of the Ninja vibes from this, but I'm guessing it plays significantly differently. Also, thank you for the Neo Geo summer! As someone who has never really had the chance to experience the Neo geo properly (well, legally, at any rate), this focus has illuminated a system that was the thing of myth in my younger days.
@SameNameDifferentGame3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it's kind of in that strata. I think Shadow is probably a little better, but it's not super different.

We're supposed to be getting a Breakers collection on current hardware this year, which were also Neo Geo games by Visco, so there's hope for Ganryu.
@SameNameDifferentGame3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, we also just got Vasara and Vasara 2 on Switch not that long ago, so maybe an odd 'n' ends collection from VISCO with, like, this and Captain Tomaday or something is in the works?
@KGRAMR3 жыл бұрын
Visco is really weird when it comes to their Neo Geo stuff. They let JoshProd make re-releases of those titles but said games are not available on Hamster's ACA Neo Geo for modern platforms.

I pre ordered Ganryu 2 for the Switch. Looks pretty bad ass. Can't wait to play it. I love modern 2d games. Side scrolling type games. Beat em ups, platformers, action platformers, shooters and metroidvanias. Not too big on fighters but sometimes. I pre ordered the collectors edition of Blazing Strike for Switch. It's pixel art so i had too. Love pixel art games. More than crazy realistic expensive graphics. That's just me though.
