I read the manga past the Osaka arch when it originally happened, I hear it went on well past it, but the Osaka arch covers like 60 issues, after what GantZ: O covered.

Unfortunately those who don't read the manga will be left with a cliff hanger that may never be visited in film again. The manga on the other hand was decent, but suffered from plot holes and arc that went nowhere as well as a terrible ending. The guy does some great artwork but his writing is bad, although his new anime inuyashiki was pretty great.

I started watching this and absolutely hated the CGI at first. I stuck with it for 5 minutes out of curiosity and once my mind accepted it wasn’t traditional animation I got sucked right in. The animation is phenomenal complimented by an interesting yet mysterious story line. I wish they’d make another one of these! 10/10 would recommend.

um. "artorias", sadly humans are kinda like that in the real world. Most things are done at the end of the day to get sexual partners. MC is a sociopathic virgin with narcissistic underlines. Hes insane and is easily sucked into the power that the game instills. He literally becomes superhero god, and it all crashes down around him while learning humans are insignificant in the grand scheme of things further destroying the ego that was built throughout the story. I think this movie isn’t so much meant to illustrate proper conflict and revolution, moreso its paying homage to the best Gantz hunt in the series: the Osaka fight. It’s hard to capture that same amount of chaos and action in manga, even with the amazing artwork. I’m glad I read the manga first because I appreciate this movie much more afterwards.

I just watched the movie and I’m stunned. The graphic is top notch even it was released in 2016. Kato’s sincere and warm-hearted personality is admirable. I love him! Definitely my type of man. Yet they can do all the cutscenes in most games that can be turned into a full 3-5 hour film if you edit out the gameplay. The full cutscenes are better than most films. Honestly, they couldn't have made a better film of Gantz. It's hard to fit in so much content into 2 hours and I think they chose wise. It isn't the full story/it isn't even the same (if I understood it correctly it's some kind of sequel of the actual content but with this long hair dude who was part of the real anime/manga) but the visuals and ambience really blew me away hard.
