@@2laughandlaugh : firstly the film in question is Japanese, not Chinese. The premise is a fresh take on a outdated story that we've all seen before, the predator hunts down his quarry with the latest hi tech gizmos and gadgets. This re- imagining would allow for more balanced action/combat sequences between two warriors skilled in their own distinctive combat styles. Fans of chanbara ( Japanese films dedicated to historical sword play ) and sci-fi both would benefit from having this production hitting the theatres. Bums back on seats, cash flowing through the tills, what's not to like. That being said I do take your point on the samey samey way in which these type of films playout.

How many times can the " good guys " blow up a planet sized threat = death star, twice in the original trilogy , command ship in the phantom menace, somehow they beat the odds time after time, and we love them for it. Star killer base in the last lot of the saga.. The same film over and over, and we watch over and over again.

Although I have seen this several times, only now do I realize how well done the music is that accompanies it! It fits the scenes so well that I just noticed it! Perfect emotion and intensity!
