Hi! Could you tell me more about where to find information about not having butternut squash on stage one? I thought it was allowed. Thanks.

Yes! Dr. Natasha's certified GAPS practitioner and coach training program teaches this. gapstraining.com Hope that helps!

Hi, would beets be considered in the fibrous vegetables list alongside celery and cabbage?

I love love LOVE your videos but the loud “pop” sound every time something is shown in the screen is so distracting and irritating. Just friendly feedback. It’s not necessary. Your videos are already so much better than most because no distracting background music, just you talking which is great.

Ugh I have been following Natasha’s recipe for the pancakes for a couple weeks now, using the winter/butternut squash. I am about to jump into stage 5. That sucks. If I had not stumbled across this video I wouldn’t have known she changed that. Makes me wonder what else she has changed that the book says is ok to do. 😣

Does kabocha squash count as pumpkin ?
@bumblebeeapothecary2 жыл бұрын
Good question! I believe kabocha squash is considered a starchier winter squash. The key is, if they taste sweet, they're for full GAPS :)

Hi, I love watching your videos, just trying to do GAPS for my son... but is not easy because he’s not accepting most of the food. He has a lot of yeast and Enterococcus in his gut flora, the indication from the doctor is to avoid dairies and fatty animal products, now I’m a bit blocked, not knowing what to do... how to cook for him knock out those bad things.

Thank you so much! Good for you, what a wonderful mom to do this for your son! Yes, that can be tough. A lot of doctors are not trained in nutrition, but Dr. Natasha's advice is what I would follow. I recommend reading her book: amzn.to/3r2yKU6

I’m wondering also how long have you and your family done the GAPS diet?? Seems like you’ve been on it for a long time. I thought it was typically a 2 year program??? Is the healing still not complete? Sheesh that’s a little discouraging if you have to keep going back to GAPS after 2 years on it, or longer in some cases.
@amandalinhitt3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for always doing the requested videos! I’ve noticed you do a lot of those. That’s awesome. I hope you rest and have a very wonderful birth! 💕 What do I do if my 1 year old is getting horrible “burns” in his diaper? My naturopath and I kind of think it might be dairy! We eat sooo much dairy in our nourishing traditions diet. I used to not be able to tolerate dairy for years so It’s not really that hard for me to make stuff dairy free, I just would hate for my baby to be sensitive to dairy. I also don’t have Dr Becky’s book, but I have like all the other GAPS books! I need to get that one! I also have a gross question… 🙈 whenever I make a GAPS soup with any of these super fibrous veggies, my WHOLE FAMILY gets horrific gas. like it smells rotten… it’s SO bad. do we need to go back and do Intro for a while? 😩
@bumblebeeapothecary2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! Sorry to hear that :( I wonder if switching to only cultured dairy would help. Yes, gas would indicate the need for some gut healing on either full or intro. Hope that helps!
