I would like gaps approved smoothie recipes. The majority of the week i give my kids smoothies for breakfast since it’s the fastest and easiest breakfast on school days

Are you following the GAPS diet?

I started today! Think I didn’t get it all right (forgot to peel the carrots lol) I’ve read the book and the recipe book and watch your and the authors videos. I still don’t understand when to go from stage one to two and so on. It says when you have no diarrhoea. I don’t have any. I’m doing the diet to balance my hyper immune system- food intolerance.

I'm coming back to gaps after a major set back. I went through gaps for about two years three years ago. I've been doing great health wise since then. I went to a sake tasting for a friends birthday last weekend and had a full body candida outbreak (rash, yeast belly, itchy splotchy skin). Turns out sake is made from yeast covered rice 😳. All I can think to do is start back all over again, my poor gut! Thank you for this content, I didn't have anything like this the first time around.

Thank you Marisa for all the work you put into the videos, recipes, printables etc. We are on day 12 now but i think we have to start over my son loves his scrambled eegs, your Pumpkin muffin and your squash pancakes. But i gave him a tsp of raw Honey in raw eegyolks a day. He is still picky on the other foods but now he enjoys to eat raw beef burger meat. His behavior got worse at some Time but finally his Number 2 is solid it was not solid since 8 month. So i am happy about that. I am afraid that he wont eat any Soup and he hates Vegetables with tallow. I Think that he knows when he gets a tummy ache and consumes just the foods which dont bother him. .....I am feeling fantastic on the keto version of gaps. Have Lots of energie my mind is clear and the best part my Vision is getting better every day. Now i can see the leaves on a tree when i concentrate myself. I am so glad that i have found your channel because your story and especially with your kids is a great inspiration for me and your lifestyle with the selfmade skincare, farmlife too!!! Max i ask you if you always put the recommended garlic i the soups from your Kids. And on which stage did you indroduced milk products. I am so afraid to give him raw sour cream etc but i think that without them you have less options and i think that raw milk products a are really inexpensive for the amount of nutrition you will get from it.

Thank you so much for this, and I'm so happy for the benefits you're seeing! I don't always put garlic in the soups, sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. I like variety, so I don't always do it the same. With my son, I didn't introduce dairy until the end of the intro stages. He wasn't too enthusiastic about plain yogurt, but now that he can have some fruit he likes smoothies made with yogurt and berries. If you're concerned about dairy, Dr. Campbell McBride recommends doing the dairy introduction structure. It sounds like that would be a good idea.

Amy suggestions for those who do not have a gallbladder? I will be ordering the gaps book tomorrow and I'm hoping the answer is in it. I'm just not sure how I'll do with all these fats without it. Thanks! I'm loving all your videos!

Thank you so much! I'm not certain about doing it without a gall bladder, but I am guessing that taking some digestive enzymes, like ones with ox bile, would be really important.

Hi! :) First of all, thank you very much for sharing your precious experience and knowledge about GAPS diet with us! Secondly, I wanted to ask if you have some special summer GAPS recipes to suggest, especially talking about meat stock: in this period of the year I'm not feeling very comfortable with drinking it, but I know it's still important to heal the guts. At the moment I'm on the full GAPS diet and it's been a while I haven't consumed broth. Hope you can help me, lots of greetings! :)

Thank you so much! Great question :) Yes, when I've done intro in the warmer months, I try to get in most of my meat stock early in the day before it gets too warm. Another thing you can do is to make meat stock popsicles :) I will try to make more videos on this with more ideas, too!

In the blue book it says organic nut butter can be used to make Squash pancakes in stage 3. Can that be store bought?
@bumblebeeapothecary
@bumblebeeapothecary 2 жыл бұрын
Great questions! You can, but it's more ideal to have sprouted or soaked or fermented nuts that you make into nut butter. You can also buy raw sprouted nut butter like this: amzn.to/3guDbSK

Is Irish Moss allowed on GAPS? I have checked and it's classified as both a seaweed and an algae. GAPS allows seaweed but not algae so I'm confused. Carrageenan is not allowed on GAPS and that is derived from Irish Sea moss - I'm not sure whether Carrageenan is prohibited because of the processing it has gone through and if it's ok when consumed in its whole and natural form, Irish Moss. I have read up on the benefits of Irish Moss and it sounds so good as I know I have mineral deficiencies.

Great question! Foods are allowed or not allowed on GAPS depending on their molecular structure, as in how much work it would take to break them down, and whether it would feed pathogenic flora or not. I do know that Carrageenan is not allowed because it can be really harmful to the gut. I will check with some other GAPS experts and see if they know! It's hard to go back and find past KZbin comments and reply again, so be sure and email me or DM me on Instagram to find out! There is contact info in the description box. Thanks :)

I've not kept with GAPS 100% while pregnant; I don't need to stay with it and I find my body craves a lot more carbs and it's easier to keep up with that while including potatoes and properly prepared grains. I include all of GAPS plus the potatoes and grains. I do the same while nursing, but usually stick closer to 100% GAPS while nursing as I don't feel quite as much of a need for carbs.

How should we exercise on FULL gaps diet??
@bumblebeeapothecary
@bumblebeeapothecary 3 жыл бұрын
Great question! It's very individual. I always listen to my body. Sometimes it's walking, running, or just resting, depending on what the body wants. Some gentle weights can be good, as is yoga or other similar stretches. Hope that helps!
