I have the bob and brad one and it's fantastic for 100$. But out of these I have to go with the theragun. I also agree dont go for the mini ones, just bite the bullet on the full sized ones.

I've used a few. The Theragun Pro is the only one with enough power to be actually helpful for me. I've greatly improved my mobility in a few areas using it regularly. The rest are nice toys that feel good, but didn't really make any substantive improvements to my mobility issues.

Hey Greg, thanks for your comment. I have a Bob & Brad, first massage gun ever, and it's great. But I started using the Hypervolt Pro at the PT clinic I work at and I'm craving more power. Curious to know, what mobility issues did you have that the Theragun helped with?

Agree with Brandon on this point. This video presupposes you need a massage gun in the first place. I kept waiting for the segment on other recovery tools to try first, but it never came....

These actually are more than just recovery and warm up. They actually really do promote blood flow and helps to relieve tension. I use it before sleeping and when I wake up. I sleep much better because my muscles are all relaxed. And when I don’t use it, it is a noticeable difference. Same with the morning when I wake up and my body is tight. Using it on my Achilles each morning has been a game changer

@@SliPsHoTiFc They've got some great niche uses though. I use one while chilling in bed browsing KZbin early in the morning before I go and workout, it gets the muscles prepped for activity without so much as having to get out of bed haha

I don’t think people realize how valuable these are. I had a chronic rear deltoid issue for over two years. Three weeks of daily therapy using a theragun elite and I have zero pain. Currently doing the same routine for my plantar fasciitis.

hi bro you can also use sanbo massage gun pro it has 18mm as amplitude and cost like 130 you could even do sanbo prime 16mm and it only cost 80
@VonBinde
@VonBinde Жыл бұрын
I’ve tested 7 different guns including the Prime, Mini 2.0, Xiaomi, Xiaomi mini, Aukey Naipo, and two cheap knockoffs. I’ve also watched about 50 reviews. The Mini (12mm amplitude) is perfect for anyone who doesn’t need large muscle groups deep massages. Too hard on the small muscles like the neck area, tends to bounce. Very portable, very quiet. You can use this while watching tv with the family. Feels almost as heavy as the prime. Will fit in a large laptop bag. The Prime (16mm amplitude) is supreme for quads, glutes, calves, and on arms and shoulders and back is as effective as the mini. It will also hurt you in smaller muscles/bony areas. You can watch tv but it will be noticeable and will disturb others. Irrelevant though - you use it for 2 min and probably before exercise. Somewhat portable. Will not fit into a laptop bag but will into a gym bag. Mid range (‘Aukey’ massage gun) has +-10mm amplitude but can hit 3000rpm so it’s perfect for the smaller muscles like neck and bony areas, and even your forehead and face. Very light and portable. High quality feel. The Xiaomis felt very sleek and high quality. I’m sure the battery will last years and goes for hours. But ultimately the big one was noisy and much less powerful than the Aukey but priced the same (about 40% the price of the Prime). The mini is, strangely, priced the same as the larger Xiaomi but is truly feeble. Feels nice to hold but it isn’t going to do much. The knockoffs were comparable to the mini Xiaomi but poor quality. They have tiny amplitudes so just skin deep vibrations. Stay away, trust me you’ll just put them in a drawer and forget they exist. Could be a nice present for grandma though. I kept the Prime and the midrange, I lift weights + run and the Prime is the business… midrange is used for lymph nodes and tension relief and smaller muscles. And when travelling. Great for neck, arms. For reference I’m 177cm, male, 80kg, 12% bodyfat, 37 years old. If the mini had a 14mm or higher amplitude it would be THE ONE. Really like it but not quite effective where I need it. So if you are thin, get the mini. You’ll love it. If you are muscular or need deep work on glutes/quads, get the Prime. If you need tension relief, get a high rpm and shallower amplitude but not below 8mm in my estimation. Aukey has the best battery life, both Theraguns only last about 45min on a charge but it has no real impact on the experience. Couldn’t stall the mini / prime / Aukey without hurting myself. So that’s irrelevant. Hope that helps.

Stall force ABSOLUTELY matters. Where it comes into play is the person it's being used on. I can handle way more pressure on my muscles than my wife, so a Theragun would be adequate for my wife, cause she would never ever exceed its stall force.

Love idea of having more content, but I think there should be a channel for the “team” and “Coop”. Could be handled via playlists I guess, but need differentiation since the content is just so radically different. The team ones could be this video version of blog articles. Just seems like a watered down version here with the personality. Even Coop’s. Maybe that improves once chemistry is found with others on camera. UPDATE: I do love the Tonal vs. Tempo video. The personality between Coop and Amanda was very cohesive and played off of each other very well. The video was very objective and playful. Didn't feel like a marketing vid for either smart gym. I'd want more Amanda and Coop videos for sure.

Theragun is a monster massager. I used the G3 Pro before at my physical therapy clinic and just bought a G4 Pro recently. Amazing for illiotibial band syndrome. The Hyperice is actually great when you're watching sitcoms with family and was my first massage gun. Super quiet with a decent punch and great for planar fasciitis since the theragun is too powerful for the feet.

I have a Theragun Pro. The thing is a monster. Although I really love it, the one complaint I have is that it really is loud. In my gym it isn't an issue, but I can't sit and watch tv with the family or anything and use it because it is too loud. My brother got a Hypervolt for Christmas and he loves it. Although it isn't quite as powerful as the Theragun, it is much, much quieter. We've considered selling out Theragun and going with a Hypervolt, but figured it'd be too much effort and we mainly use the Theragun in the gym anyway. In the end, I'd say the benefits of the Theragun do outweigh the costs and I'd go with Team Amanda. Great video!

From my personal experience, there is no difference between the Hypervolt Plus or any other $300 Massage Gun to cheaper ones selling at $100, just a waste of money! I was extremely happy with the Orhox Massage Gun (I believe it was priced at around 90 bucks on Amazon), holds a charge and didn't break on me like others did. Bottom line I would say don't go cheaper than $60, and stay below $150, or you're wasting money.

Massage Therapist here with over 17 years of experience. Although I have never used one of these Percussion Guns in my practice I do see the benefits of using them. That being said I don't think they are for everyone, yes they are good for loosening stuck muscle fibers but it is far from the best way. The guns started out as an adjunct for regular massage, a tool to help the therapist loosen more dense muscles, but the best way to loosen adhesions in the muscle fibers is through Cross Fiber Friction, massaging perpendicular to orientation of muscle fibers. Tapotament or Percussion is used more for bringing oxygenation to the surface. You could probably play with the angles a little to be more effective. However, in my opinion people digging into the muscles too hard and bottoming out the machine with the pressure are doing themselves a disservice by only using the gun and not other more effective techniques. I may be a little biased because I am a therapist, but nothing can match a real pair of skilled hands.

Since I have no interest in them, I had no idea these things were that expensive. I would have guessed under $100.

Not only are these guns pricey, there has been zero evidence from any reputable journals to support these modalities for recovery. Secondly, why on earth are you doing these type of videos. Are you trying to reach a new market? If so my gosh this sucks for what I have interested in from your channel.

Ain’t no way those are worth hundreds of dollars when they are only marginally better in real life use and performance than the cheaper options. Both brands are ridiculously overpriced
