you got alot of patients lol sanding with 180. I would use 100 on a light filler like that. other times 80 grit on very heavy bodywork. I finish my bodywork in 320 and prime. sand the primer with 400 and use a light sealer sometimes depending on the job.

Because of body filler? Body filler is really high quality stuff these days it's not like when it first came out. There won't be any problems with cracking . Don't be afraid of using filler. The only problem is when people miss use it by applying it way too thick.

Whats your opinion on bondo?? Its the cheapest right? I worked with it but i honestly thought all fillers were hard to work with like bondo whats your opinion?
@GarageNoise
@GarageNoise 2 жыл бұрын
The bondo brand it's been a long time since I used it. The best cheap body filler I've ever used is R1 it's made by a subsidiary of Roberlo. Evercoat make good filler. You want good filer if you have alot of body work. There's a big difference in how a quality filler sands. It's much easier . Gallon will be about 50-60 bucks but it's worth it. Rage ultra is my go to right now.

Good question! Remember if you replace the fender now you need to blend the color into the door and the hood . You would Also need to remove trim on that door to do it properly. So just repairing the fender in this case saves time and materials. Appreciate the support brother!
