The guy that was cleaning out the house probably had lots more scrap and yard sale stuff. Hope you got his number and went back as he seemed eager to give away lots of good things. When he said he had some unopened board games I would have taken them as you could have easily flipped them at the Flea market. Cheers.....Scott

When they have bags with the handles you should always take them so when you sell at the flea market to people you can put that stuff in them especially older people cuz you give them a bag anyway just saying

At 2:43 you can see some car speakers, those are pretty heavy for their size(because of their magnets) so I think they are great for light iron scrap. Also can you activate preview on the videos(it shows a small image when you put the mouse on the time cursor) if it does not bother you? Missing power cables doesnt neccesary mean somebody beat you to it, I always cut the power cable when I throw something away because it is good to have for other electrical problems or even use it as rope because its strong. Great video.

Shocked at how much is thrown away in your area and how cheap things go for at the flea market, but you go in thrift stores and you would think you were in Macys. What type of economy, jobs, etc. in the areas where you pick trash. I know there are a lot of senior home clean outs, but what about the 20-30 folks. They throw out so much it is shocking. Makes me wonder where they work or if they work.

Glad you have that cage metal behind you protecting you from sliding junk. When something smells bad, like the scale, it's probably mold, and you shouldn't smell mold- bad for your lungs. I wouldn't pick it up, just leave it. Smelling that mold is bad for your health, especially black mold.

Some cat lady will buy anything that pertains to a CAT!!....Did you grab that cat stand or cat tree???? They buy that stuff as well! I found out along time ago when grabbing stuff, its not what you like but its what they like.....When i first started i couldnt figure out why nothing was selling....hahaha
@ForeverAlansGirl7 жыл бұрын
Jeff P ..its so funny you mention that because I was thinking the same thing; noooo don't leave the kitty condo..I would have taken it!!🐈 That one would sell for $300 retail here. they are not cheap. Some low income person would have loved that for their furbaby. 🐈🐈
@j.b.p64787 жыл бұрын
Nina Dickson....Exactly!!!....You tend to over look those items of great value when your only looking for certain items all the time! But maybe he will comment but i doubt it. Im starting to think he is the type that already knows what to do and doesnt take "advise" very well...LOL I done this buy & sell thing for over 25yrs.....you learn something new all the time!!
@ForeverAlansGirl7 жыл бұрын
Jeff P Jeff thank you for commenting. you seem to know where it's at. This young fella seems focused only on the scrap aspect, where I'm thinking and I'm sure from your reply that you do too, those nice dressers, coffee tables, baby toys and yessir, anything cat or pet related could help someone just starting out. Ì cringe when these things are passed by, it defiantly isn't cheap for kids just setting up their first apartment or a family starting over. there defiantly is a market for these things. xx 🐈🐈
@j.b.p64787 жыл бұрын
Your absolutely correct....There is certain items that your eyes will smack right on it like a magnet and the CAT TREE is one of those items! It might not suit your taste but its not what you like or want or need, its what SELLS!!!...Nina, your gonna have to show him darlin!...lol
@ForeverAlansGirl7 жыл бұрын
Jeff P : Jeff you sound like a great guy. 😊 I'm in Ontario Canada & that cat tree here retails for $300!! 🐈 I would have GLADLY paid taco $20- $25 for it. My furbaby is too old, but I would have gifted it to a senior with a kitty or a shelter. There you can see, youngster passed up on a $25 sale on just this ONE item. I have a fella on my block who used to have a stall at the local antique store and he curbs everything that does not sell ..its cringeworthy what goes in the garbage. At least take it to the Goodwill or something. You sound like you have a lot of compassion for people and animals..noone else but us 2 will even mention the cat tree on this thread, I guarantee you. never lose that quality. xx 🐈🐈
@cherbear80676 жыл бұрын
Think you could think outside the box sometimes. There was as a baby/pet gat you left that if you couldn’t sell, you could have split with someone (maybe Ernie) who could. I’ve totally been binge-watching. I find this freaking fascinating. We don’t have this in Texas that I’m aware of. If we do, I’m sure, with the size of our state it would take us much longer to get from one place to another. Keep doing it taco stacker. I know things get hard.

That's not their mission. They leave that up to the other "charities" They send many of the clothes overseas. Not sure, but the people who need it, don't get it.

Hi I was wondering what do you do with the car battery may be a dumb question but is it part of scrapping ? And if so what category of scrap is it lol ty
@TacoStacks7 жыл бұрын
Car battery goes to the scrap yard, they pay you $8 a car battery and if it's less than 35 pounds it ends up being $0.22 a pound, I believe that battery I ended up getting around $7.20 for at the scrap yard. Thanks.

Hey. Your videos are great. However, I noticed you cut the cord off of something. It always bugs me when people do that. A few times there were things we would have picked up to use but the cords were cut off, so the whole thing went to garbage instead of getting used. Oh well.

Do you really make enough money doing the scraping and sales to make a living? It seems like you are working yourself to death for a small amount of money. I may be missing something that's why I'm asking? Not trying to say there is anything wrong with what you are doing because I enjoy watching your videos. I use to have a paper route and on trash day i would find all kind of cool stuff. I would take it home clean it up and have a huge sale about once a month and make $1,000 or more. I also had some apartments and when they kicked someone out they put all there belongings in the trash. I drove a truck on my route so it was pretty easy to have a truck load at least once a week.
@TacoStacks7 жыл бұрын
Scrapping pays for the gas and what not for my jeep and van for the week usually. I am a full time reseller, I would say reselling is 90% of my income. I couldn't live off what I make by scrapping haha.
