Welcome to my new channel. Today I take a trip to the garden center, plant what was purchased and tie up hydrangeas that were flattened by the rain.
PLANTS I USED:
Autumn Joy Sedum
Cara Mia 'Seashell' Echinacea
'Canary Feathers' Echinacea
Chelone Tiny Tortuga
The hat I am wearing can be purchased from Janey's store:

I truly appreciate all of your hard work, even though gardening is your passion, after a long day in the heat and sun, it can really wear you out. Take care of yourself too while you are creating your wonderful videos. Maybe you can add some suggestions for the gardeners to stay hydrated too. ❤ maybe when you are watering in the new plants, may it remind us all to take a drink too😊

Mid Michigan here. I enjoy your background music & your quiet contemplations. I can't handle constant chatter in some videos.

Love your tip using the pot as guiding for potting. How do you keep your grass so green in the summer heat? Thank you for sharing.

@@lakeforest3222 Honestly, it’s quite brown when you look at it in person. I don’t really do anything to it.

I just bought more Autumn Joy and Echinacea too! We have been having such dry summers here in the Pacific Northwest, but when it does rain my tall Karl Forester grasses lean way over. Thankfully they dried after a recent summer rain and are standing back up for the most part, but some years they don't.

@@krismatson2137 I have a Cheyenne Sky Panicum that flopped over as well and I tied it really close to the base of the plant with the same thing I tied the hydrangea up with and it looks much better!

Nick I so enjoy your videos! You have such a relaxed way about you, the music is great and I enjoy your non-technical presentation. Please continue to make videos. You mentioned that you can’t have indoor plants because your cats eat them; what do you do withe the plants you have put in pots when the cold temps arrive? How long can sedum be left in a planter?
@NicksBackyardBlooms
@NicksBackyardBlooms 2 ай бұрын
@@smirby100 I don’t bring any of my pots into the house in the winter. I have a couple of them that I’ll try to overwinter in the greenhouse, but for the most part they just stay outside. Some of the plants are perennials and they would come back next year (even if left in the pots). I’ll probably take the perennials out and plant them in the ground before winter. Sedum could last forever in the pots.

I’m in Florida and this is what happens to my Red Rocket crepe myrtles. The blooms are so heavy and when we have our rainstorms, it will snap off the branches. Always so sad when I see 3 or more branches on the ground.
