Backyard Garden Harvest and tour with recipe. How to cook minestrone soup. I share this minestrone recipe with ingredients I harvested from my organic home garden. Cooking from garden to table is the most joyful culinary experience you can have. I use my freshly picked, home grown beans, tomatoes, squash and herbs to create a simple but flavorful dish in my first year garden in this new place.

I absolutely loved everything about this video. From the harvest in the garden of the fresh produce to the preparation of the soup, and the presentation in the dining room. I loved the table setting it was absolutely gorgeous. The goldenrod in the vase was beautiful, the China, the silverware, the soup taurine, everything was beautiful. I felt like I was at a bed and breakfast! I hope all your content will be just like this one! I'm sharing this video on Twitter. More people need to know about your channel. Thank you! 😊

Living as a work of art! This is who I was,need to get back to this way of life. I have lost so much time existing. Your surprise videos that I had been subscribed to. Somehow the bell was not on. How cruel. Now seem to long waiting for this reminder. My binge watch for inlightment Peasant food is the best. I do not use animal for food, This is now 57 yrs so far. Always for me.I have not only found inspiration but hope for my off grid half tamed home. The dream is not fulfilled. But it is in motion as of the first video I watched. So happy to know there is a human that thinks this way.

Hello, as you have maybe read I am very late watching videos. As much as it breaks my heart that I wasn't there at that moment. I will adjust time to make it work out. Wink. I recently started out to make a simple potato chowder, then organic non-GMO corn showed up. Suddenly there was a giant pile of chopped vegetables and I got distracted. I am not in a conventional situation so I was using a deep fryer for My Soup pot. I had added my first round of spices and started to make a mirepoix with the flower Incorporated so that it was slightly toasted and thick from the beginning. I have found that the potatoes do not disintegrate as quickly especially when you're making a large amount and want some for the next day. Because soup always taste better the next day! As I got overwhelmed with chopping my Bountiful amount of vegetables my mirepoix started to almost scorch. We'll call it a deep Brown. I immediately added more spices and turned it into more of a French style soup with Sherry and white wine. I do not drink but I will add it to my food. It turned out to be very delicious but the amount of wheat flour did bother my stomach. I forgot the whole reason I was telling you this I have jars of dried tinybeans from what you're doing right there. And ironically they take longer to soak then most beans do overnight sometimes I have to rinse them and soak them for 3 Days to make them be good for cooking? I did not drive these myself they were a gift. The person that I got it from is no longer in this Dimension so I can't ask any questions. Well I guess I could ask but I haven't gotten a definitive answer yet. Since this soup just happened or this stew, I'm not sure exactly what to call it but it was delicious. And others ate it up very quickly. But I got to use these beans dried and it was exciting to me because I've been holding on to them for something special. And yes I was going to put them in a chowder because they're tiny and I thought that it would be good for me to throw some protein in my chowder because I've not been eating well lately. So thank you for another video I'm going to keep going until I catch up. It's hard to watch videos and hold still that long for me sometimes because I don't have much energy and it takes a lot for me to just get Basics done in a day. I am determined to reverse this but at the moment this is where I'm at. Thankfully I finally started watching your videos realizing who you were and that the name wasn't who I thought it was. And I have something to look forward to a bright and lovely channel that no matter what you do I love it! I feel terrible I wasn't there when you are going through issues! I mean issues with your Channel. But I'm here now and I'm not going anywhere as long as you're not. Thank goodness it's almost gardening time although we just had snow and it's been in the twenties. And I am on the other side of the u.s.. just draw a line straight across and down a little. Your friend G. Ps. I realized that I had watched this in the middle of the night when I woke up in pain. When I saw the Tareen it reminded me that I had seen it so excuse me I'm a little embarrassed. So I have quite a few comments on here

Wonderful recipe! There’s nothing like a hearty soup on the weather starts to cool down. And I love the dishes that you served it in. Thank you!

Soup is always essential as winter approaches. It is a good thing we get loads of fresh produce at this time as well.

Do the deer eat your vegetables that aren't protected? Also, what books and resources have influenced your style the most? Your home is beautiful... I would love to have more of an antique eclectic style but am not sure how to foster that in myself.

to allow the steam to escape you could run water over the lid of the pressure cooker...that's how i actually do it :)

Certainly, I do that all the time. It is just that the steam is more photogenic :-)

Thank you for passing on the knowledge. I enjoy your pace. What kind of basil and heirloom tomatoes are those?
@suburbanhomestead

You are welcome. It is the regular sweet basil and the tomato is a possible crossing of brandy wine with Galapagos cherry tomato I saved seed myself
