GARDENA SMART SYSTEM - Best irregation system for a greenhouse

Hopefully this Gardena Smart System review will help you in the right direction regarding irregation.
For me its important that the plants get just enough of water. When using the Gardena Smart System you get just that. The right amount of water. I have a Gardena Smart Sensor in my cucumber box.
It measures the temperature, light intensity and the moisture of the soil.
When scheduling the Gardena Smart Water Control to open and close the data from the Gardena Smart Sensor helps determing if its needed to run the watering schedule.
This system will save me time, ensure that my plants are doing good even if we are not at home.
We have much more flexibility regarding this due to the water automation that the Gardena Smart System brings to us. As I also got automatic ventilation the only thing thats not automated is to pick all the vegetables that ripen.
This system can be used all over your garden.

I also have to say that the first valve from Gardena that failed did that because it was used in the wrong context. It works fine when you dont use it for a drip irregatin system. I got them to water my lawn and there they work just fine.

Finally !! A video that goes into a the app a bit. I have a Koubachi Plant Sensor (v1) (bought by Gardena to release the Smart system) - but getting a V2 exactly because I have access to historical data and graphs, which seriously improves my gardening skills. In you video at the end it says "no logs" ... does that means they do not have historical data ?? How can this be possible?? Thank you for the video, I've been wanting to see the app in action for over a year now.

Tiago Serôdio Hi and thanks. No they don't have any logs. It's really disturbing, but sins I'm building sensors to monitor my greenhouse that doesn't matter so much to me. But it's bad that they don't have it. I talked to them and they say that they might implement it in a future update. Probably they got the logs but not publishing them.

great video.. I'm thinking to buy one too.. one controller can control multiple sectors for watering independently or do I need to buy multiple controllers?

Thanks, the gateway can control multiple valves. Im going to get some more this season to automate the gardens even more. Are you going to use them for drop irregation or for ordinary watering?

Thank you for this video, it explains me why I have so many issues. Maybe you have an idea? I have two 24v valve (hardwired) from Gardena but it doesn't work with our micro drip. The valve seems to open but not enough, almost nothing get out. The 24v valves from Gardena should work starting at a pressure of 0,5 bar. The micro drip use a 2 bar pressure rate... Ideas? Thanks a lot! Almost a year with this issue...

Sorry to say but they don't seam to like being together with drip irrigation. I use the smart valves for that instead and they work great. Have an amazing week Matthieu!

Absolutly, if there is an Internet connection you can remotely control your water from anywhere in the world or even from the space station. Not that I have tried it but they got Internet up there so it will work. Have a great evening.

For me the batteries last from April to October. Then I use the batteries for other applications such as remotes. So the last a very long time. Have an amazing Sunday man!

Hej Micke. Nä, jag behöver inte byta fram och tillbaka. Jag har lagt ner vattenledningar med vattenuttag. Har 2 i trädgården och 1 i växthuset. Jag kommer göra en genomgång av hur hela systemet fungerar i en kommande video. Är mycket enklare att visa än att beskriva. Så håll koll så kommer den videon snart. Elena Gisa Yea, it will only work with an Internet connection out of the box but I think I saw a guy that hacked the protocol so you can use it local.

Hi Harvey. Is a satelite link more Off Grid then 4G? I would believe that you are new to the channel. We got 2 homesteads. 1 that we are working on getting totaly off grid and one thats not. We are on a journy to a more sustainable way of life. My definition of Off Grid is to be selfreliant on power, water and suage. Have an amazing friday man.

I understand the water distributor is also compatible with the Gardena Smart water control, but how is it possible to configure the water distributor from within the Gardena Smart App? I can’t see any options to select water lines in the App like you can find in the options of the master control.

Hi Stephen, you got one valve per waterline you want to control so it's just a matter of turning on the right valve in the app. Have an amazing weekend!

Thanks for your reply. 😊 I’m still a little confused though. I’m not sure that I need multiple Gardena smart water control modules as there is only one input valve on the Gardena Automatic Water Distributor which outputs 6 water lines. I could select which water line to use in the schedule of the old Gardena Water Master Control however it’s not possible to do it with the Smart App and the Smart Water Module.

@@Whappers1 You are correct. You need more valves. Each of them is only 1 input and one output. I just got the smart irrigation control partno 19032 that connects to the same app and controls up to 6 lines through the more cheeper 24 volt valves. That might be a solution to you. Thanks for your help. This actually seems like several much more expensive steps back from the old Gardena Master Control device. I’m actually really surprised it can’t handle the Automatic water distributor in the same way. I’m probably going to have to return this and get a refund unfortunately. Absolut. Det är dyrt men fungerar klockrent. Mycket enklare än att bygga ett själv. Talar av erfarenhet. Har försökt, men inte lyckats få det lika bra. Hav en fantastisk vecka!
