I don’t have a home or garden any more, but I learned to garden in containers watching Laura create beautiful displays no matter what the space entails. Slice radishes into REALLY thin half moons, soak in lime juice, salt and pepper. Do this at the beginning of cooking dinner and leave in the fridge. Use as a garnish. Great on top of salads, tacos, quesadillas, etc. Very fresh and cooling as a garnish for warmer or richer dishes. Goes excellent next to creme fraîche or crema when that is uses as a sauce, too!

I'm fascinated with plant dyes and I thought of Laura's gardens as I was watching "SWW Film Series: A Shetland Dye Garden - with Bunchy Casey". She explains what she grows in her gardens to make her dyes. Plants like Woad, Black Hollyhock, Chamomile, Madder, Safflower, Weld, Marigold, Indigo, Calendula and Coreopsis can be made into dyes, to name just a few. Also Sagebrush, red and brown onion skin, Juniper and Rose Hips are gardeners' dye gold. Deadheading and Fall clean-up could yield a virtual rainbow of dyes!

And so it begins! So exciting, Laura. You’ll be surprised at how different radishes taste when cooked. Stir frying is good as well. The long ones are especially easy to prep. I cut them lengthwise in four pieces(or matchstick them). I also cook the stems and greens…..two stir fry vegetables from one plant. I use them in omelet muffins that I make for a quick breakfast along with mushrooms, cheese and other veggies, too. Loaded with nutrients. Not fond of them raw either.

That looks so beautiful - I had a vegetable garden for the first time here last year and it was amazing to actually grow food that people eat!! Shared with family and neighbors - I plan one day to have raised beds, they look so pretty as well as abundant. I incorporated a bench, a large pot of nasturtiums, and a scarecrow (for fun) to add some adornment to the space - I love the domes and the little covered area - you are a true inspiration❤️the radishes are adorable, I may try some of those this year🤷(so many options🥴)thank you for a great little video!

I guarantee that corner that you can’t figure out why it always seems slower is due to a certain orange, six toed critter sunning himself on top of it! 🤣😂😽 Love both Russell and Cheddar!

I've been rocovering from surgery and just chomping at the bit to get out and put some seeds in my new raised bed! Today you did me in and I went for it! I'm trying a loose version of square foot gardening in a 4x4 space. Feels so good to get some things planted. My husband built me a chicken wire enclosure while I was recovering, so the plants are safe from the deer! Thanks!

Great video. We’re behind you even though our zone is 6a so I’m making notes on what you’ve been getting done for when my time comes. Sooo exciting!
