I love the super hoops, but I use 9 gauge wire cut into 76” lengths and bend them on a fence post. To weigh down the cloth I use gallon milk/water jugs filled with water. It’s a great solution for a budget-friendly setup.

Laura, I never thought I would be commenting but I feel like I am attending a class every day. I have been gardening since I was nine and was a teacher for 35 years with every year my class growing seeds under lights taking care of their plants and then bringing home to plant in their gardens. I retired and then went to the University of Illinois to become a Master Gardener. Ha! a Master Gardener is not created from course work, but real plant work. I love your approach and already have incorporated many of your routines and products into my gardening life. Thanks so much for what you do!

I won’t lie…I’m so jealous that you have water. I’m in Utah and we are in a drought. They are saying we can’t put in any new landscapes this year and that we can only water trees and shrubs by hand once a week. I’m so sad! My yard is my happy place and to watch it die is going to hurt my heart. I’m so grateful for your videos that will have to be where I get my flower fill this year. Praying so hard for rain!!! Laura, your living my dream. I’m 72 and come from a background of gardening. I helped my dad with the food garden planting and harvesting and helped my mom with the flower planting and watched her when she canned or if the killed a chicken or rabbit for food. I never got my acreage, but I do have a few cherry tomatoes and flower beds. Too many deer in my area for a garden. I’m going to buy some of these flowers and try them this year. Their so pretty.

Yay 🙌🥰, you planted anemones and I just did so yesterday. My bulbs were the size of a large quarter...hope they come up! Laura, we live in the Austin, Tx area and our water is also super hard. We installed a large cannister of carbon/charcoal on the main incoming water line. It helped a lot with the hard water stains (and taste). I also put a splash of vinegar in my dishwasher each time and the dishes come out pristine!

Land and Sea Compost, as I understand it, is for those of us who have alkaline or very high ph soil. If you have low or middle of the road ph (on the acidic side) you can substitute just regular compost. Happy gardening!

Thank you for so much inspiration, kindness and love for your family and all things gardening. I pre-sprouted ranunculus for the first time this spring. I have them potted up and they’re growing on! Your channel feeds my soul and makes me try things I wouldn’t think of doing. I look forward to the upcoming gardening season with you, Aaron, Benjamin & Samantha. 🌿🌸🍃💐

Hi Laura. I live in a seaside village near Melbourne, Australia. I am also planting my ranunculus today which I find a bit strange! I suppose because our winters are so mild we plant in Autumn. Hyacinths and tulips are planted in May. I love your daily upgrades and this saved my sanity last year with our 180 day lockdown. Best gardening channel.

I can’t wait to see all the beauty that’s going to come from this…so exciting! I didn’t find your videos until midway through growing season last year, so I’m super excited to watch you from the beginning of this season and walk with you through all the things!! ❤️ Did I miss you putting down the bio-tone starter fertilizer on the second row or maybe it just didn’t make it into the video?

Hey Laura. Watching your videos about winter sowing encouraged me to winter sow a bunch of seeds this past winter. I live in zone 6a. I winter sowed cosmos seeds the first week in March and three weeks later I have cosmos seedlings that are 2 inches tall! I also winter sewed pansy seeds. I see several pairs of green leaves hovering above the soil. So that’s encouraging To know that I’ll have a bunch of pansies soon!
