I like the idea of these new videos. So many content creators focus on the hardware for running retro games, which is great, but almost none of them talk about the games beyond how well they run in various emulators. On a side note, the screen on the RGB30 is just so freaking amazing!

A small masterpiece, I bought it as soon as it came out as a kid, I still keep it complete and in perfect condition in my collection, over the years I have finished it several times, always very fun and satisfying. The atmosphere is one of the best on Gameboy, usually the games for this console were always very joyful and cheerful, but the design and music of this game, combined with the high difficulty made it almost disturbing, especially for a kid. Without a doubt one of the top 10 Gameboy games.

I have vague memories of playing a little bit of this game. I know I didn't get far (it was challenging) and I definitely didn't have the cart so it must have been at a friend's house. But now it's starting to dredge up all kinds of fond memories and nostalgia with the Gameboy. Sitting for hours in the sun room of my grandparent's house as the adults talked about boring adult stuff. I had much more important things to worry about, like seeing how far I could get in Tetris or beating Super Mario Land 2. Or trying to play with the illumination of passing street lamps at night because turning on the inside car light would mean instant death (well, that's how it felt). Anyway, now that I'm way off on a tangent, I'll have to revisit Gargoyle's Quest. Thanks for the reminder. Hope to see more from the DGS.

Capcoms production quality has always been top notch. The music beams you into another world and that's what gaming is all about. The darker tone of Gargoyles Quest really hooked me up and that's why converted to Mega Drive instead of SNES later on.

I recently picked up an Xbox 360, having not had one since I was young and sold it for my Xbox One. I've been playing it recently on my channel and have already went thru almost all of the old Call of Duty games, Battlefield, Gears of War, Halo, etc and have just about packed my newer Xbox's up and put them in the closet to protect them from dust because that is about all they are collecting anymore. MW3 campaign was my first time ever playing it and it was some of the most fun I've had in a short 6 hours. Absolutely zero pay to win stuff, didn't need to update it every day and it's performance just.. well, Todd Howard worked. I still have my PS2 and this week has made me really want to dig it out again. Btw I love your channel! Have been watching you for forever now, I just don't comment much! Modern games have beautiful (??) screens, F/X, musics, BUT they lack optimisations, they stink of free/paid updates, patches, requiring to get the "best" hardware of course, etc... The closest I came to owning a Gameboy was when Pokemon became super popular in the US. My wife and I were watching the cartoon on Saturdays with her daughters and we even bought a few of the Pikachu pedometers, man, we went through so many of those things. I almost bought a GBC to play Pokemon, but we just didn't have enough money for me to buy some 70 - 80 games for the system. Long story short, I never played Gargoyle's Quest but I did play the SNES sequel, Demon's Crest, which I absolutely loved. Maybe it is time to go back and play the original.

UUU this series would be perfect to feature some of the games I recently discovered or were my old time obscure favorites, for example here are 2 super interesting ones: - Terranigma (SNES) - Dark RPG with easy leveling up, especially with save states, but very story driven with a really deep and interesting story (I am almost finished with the whole game, according to walkthroughs, but it is so hard you kind of need periodic walkthroughs, but it's worth it, some puzzles are imposible to figure out, if not looking at walkthroughs) - Boogerman (Sega Senesis) It is funny with fun graphics.

I think this game will be my first playthrough on my Analogue Pocket in the original DMG glory. It seems as if I can finish it over the weekend. If you are taking suggestions, may I recommend Crystalis for the NES (also available on NSO and SNK 40th Anniversary Collection). That was one of my beloved games from back then. Of course if you like to torture the DGS, Battletoads! The only NES game I owned but never beat.

What a great game to start with!!! Always been one of my favorites!!! Funny side note, in your gameplay footage you ran across a couple enemies who appear to be just a regular guy with wh a sheet thrown over them like a cheap ghost costume. I was playing the Japanese game Kid Dracula by Konami on the NES the other day and I ran into a boss that looked EXACTLY the same, only with two obvious differences. The first difference was that the boss character was much larger by comparison, the other difference is that for some reason, the “Ghost” boss had a swastika on the forehead of its ghost mask making it look very much like something other than a ghost. It completely went against the otherwise fun and cute take on a Konami vampire game. What’s up with that Konami?
@badbusiness2113 Жыл бұрын
The symbol can be found throughout Asia, from homes to temples, in Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism. It has also been used by cultures and religions throughout history, the earliest example from 10,000 BCE - a mammoth ivory carving!
@xerxestelevision6666 Жыл бұрын
@@badbusiness2113 Yeah, I know. So why was it on the forehead of that person wearing a white sheet just like Charlie Manson? Are you going to get one tattooed on your forehead and then when people ask you about it then you just matter of factly state that it’s been present in history since the Stone Age so what’s your problem? Heck no you wouldn’t, because it’s not cool to have a swastika on your forehead even if you aren’t also wearing a sheet.
