Can you set up interval for Strength training like conditionning ? Or should u just set it on cardio and do my exercices

for this version of the instinct , i think cardio would be the easier way. it lap when you're done your set or rest.

Hi Jim, can you set your intervals in seconds rather than minutes. So let’s say 20 seconds sprint, 40 seconds rest for 20 mins?

You can but I think it’ll be easier to set it up on Garmin connect (desktop) then send to device rather than on watch

How to change data screen in Intervals? I was able to change data screens in running, but can't find the way to change data screen in Intervals. I want to add 2-fields data screen with distance and pace. Anyone knows? Thank you.

the setting you set in the main activities (walk, run, bike, etc..) will also apply to workouts within that activity. So in your case I would enable screen 2 or screen 3 so that you can customize specific to intervals. While doing that workout, just switch screens.

If I have a warm up and cool Down with say 5 intervals alternating between Work and rest can i during the workout add an interval if I feel i have the strength?

What you can do is set that loop higher than five, that way you can stop the activity when you hit 5, but have flexibility to keep going depending on your day. You should be able to put the warm up & cooldown outside of that workout loop. It might be easier to set it up via the Garmin connect interface on a browser.

@@AvoidingChores i see... Lets say i program 10 intervals. When i have completed 6 i feel exhausted. How do I tell it to skip the remaining intervals and have it go to cool down?

It depends if you really need to have that cool down step. Personally I avoided using the warm up/ cool down and just focused on the workout portion. So I would have instead of a warm up use a time or distance step, then get into my workout. So lets say it’s a long run, after a 2min “warm up” my loop is set at 99. After 6 I’m done, I can hit back/lap and use that as a “cool down” then just stop the activity.
