This is very helpful! We just got a 20' Reinell last year, and it came with the Striker 4. We've been able to use the basic features, but didn't understand most of the functionality it offers. Will be going back to the beginning of this series and watching it thru. Thank you for the awesome videos!

Even these basic Fishfinders do so much it's crazy.

The settings were so important for ice fishing. I didn't know at first that I needed to change the scroll speed to as fast as possible. I also prefer to see the history so I can better distinguish what's a non-moving branch of a plant and what's a fish moving up. Your video on turning on A-Scope was so helpful for that.

I never realized the scroll speed should be set to ultra either...so I learned a few things doing this video as well

Thanks. I bought the striker 4 last summer and haven't used it in about 6 months. Now I completely forgot all the settings that you showed me. Guess I have some videos to rewatch.

Love the videos!! Just had my Striker 4 vivid out on the lake and totally relied upon your video series to understand what was being shown. Have you considered doing something with clear vu. Would love to understand how to better understand what is being shown. Thanks again for the videos!

As always, great. A few videos ago I asked if you knew of any way to tether the garmin stryker 4. I found on my cv 4 it has 2 threaded inserts on the back. Thise are threaded 4mm x .7 I used a 4mmx.7 x 6mm stainless cap screw to hold a nylon cable clamp thats 3/8 wide for a 7/16 cable. It makes a great loop to attach a tether too.
@1Cast1Fish2 жыл бұрын
Very nice, pretty good thinking to IMO....I may have to steal that idea for a video one day :)
@ETuss7132 жыл бұрын
@@1Cast1Fish yeah. Some may not need a leash, but I feel better having one on. When I stand up in the kayak I like to adjust the screen to face up. It will often pop off the Garmin mount, so a tether is a little security for me.

Thank you for all the super helpful info you’ve explained in all the classes covering this amazing little unit. I have one question.. is it possible to have traditional sonar as well as a flasher displayed in a split-screen option?
@1Cast1Fish Жыл бұрын
Biggest gripe there is with this unit....Nope I wish they would make it possible

@@1Cast1Fish okay thanks, saw another video online where a guy is doing a review on it and shows the flasher and traditional sonar on the same screen but he didn’t explain how to get there 🤷🏽♂️

@@1Cast1Fish I’ll be standing by patiently waiting and if it’s just not an option for the Garmin Striker Plus 4 bundle.. then I’m okay with that just was curious after I saw that other guys video.. I’ll see if I can find it and tag you under the comments?
@dustyhiebert5748 Жыл бұрын
The video I am referring to is from “Maine Man Bassing”. Traditional Sonar and Flasher Mode on the same split over/under split screen 🤷🏽♂️
@chadbosko89356 ай бұрын
How does the flasher mode compare to a real flasher would i be happier with a real one that is just a flasher?
@1Cast1Fish6 ай бұрын
Operates and looks exactly the same, so the choice comes down to options and cost as far as what you want or need.
