As SA-Sonic you can press spin after doing a non target homing attack to do a small dash in console enter “samenu” to get a neat little surprise

Fun fact: Press ~ and type in samenu for a customization menu where one of the options you can change your gameplay style from Sa1, Sa2 (the default) , and a hybrid of both.

Here's some tips for you, you can press spin mid-airdash to go into an advance airdash state, you will not lose vertical height and maintain some speed midair during the dash. You can also spindash off a ledge and uncurl midair to remove air drag entirely for the duration you see and hear advance afterimages. You can also quickcharge a lightspeed attack with the same power by jumping out of a spindash while holding spin when you see a white ring shoot out while charging a spindash. You can also press custom 3 to prioritize items and enemies once you reach the lightdash state. The lightspeed attack is also a really great tool for bossfights as it dodges projectiles produced by Eggman and deals double damage without leaving you vulnerable after. Just note you cannot use it twice as it'll simply bounce you off until you do a normal hit that resets the lightspeed attack limit. It will shoot out particles and make a glass-break sound when you reset it by hitting with a homing or jump. You definitely wanna read this one as it's SA2 funnies material, you can *SUPERBOUNCE* if you have speed shoes and run into a wall then proceed to jump and bounce at the exact same time. You can also use it with super sonic if you want to, and it's much easier and forgiving to initiate since it's fully intentional. The amount of height is fairly easy to control compared to the source material as all it needs is more ground speed to get more height converted.

It's true, SASonic is pretty unique gameplay wise, that much is well proven. Also speaking of unique and since you upload SRB2 content, I recommend you try out the Equinox map pack. It's one of the most unique and creative packs out there! ofc idk if you're into playing map packs or making videos of these but if you feel like it, I suggest you try it out.

But if it does, it will be several years in the future from now (5-7, maybe) and do something different from SRB2 in a stark enough manner to justify it being a sequel-not an expansion pack or spin-off-much in the same way that SRB2 drastically changed things up from SRB1. (Well, perhaps not so drastically as that, but still to a degree that one can rightly say, “Oh yeah, this is distinct.” It should not feel like ‘just another mod.’)

Garrulous you could try the cross momentum mod it adds hyper forms and increases speed cap and changes mechanics. Like sonics thok gives you height if you hold down space while going fast

Out of curiosity, have you checked out the Super Mario character mod by DirkTheHusky? It's easily the most robust and versatile Mario mod for SRB2 yet. It has Mario's entire moveset from Odyssey (minus Cappy), including the roll with momentum physics, and it has the hammer from the Mario & Luigi RPG games. It also replaces all the Sonic power-ups with a wide variety of fully-functional Mario ones, and Mario's spritework fits in SRB2's art style too. I highly recommend checking this out!
