Back in the day we never would have imagined that we would see a Gracie face someone 40 pounds lighter and 4 inches shorter and still get owned. The Gracies are great teachers!

Clive Bixby the one we’re the guy 40lbs lighter passed the guard, mounted, rear mounted at will and submitted him.

You’re missing the point ralek doesn’t have good competition bjj experience; for him to have answers and do very good against Garry is amazing....notice how kron easily submitted Garry
@russellward46244 жыл бұрын
@@zayatkinson7253 This isnt a BJJ competition setting though so why would his lack of competition in sport BJJ have any bearing? He has little experience by his own choice. So thats not a good argument. Youre setting up a system where he cant lose. He doesnt get tapped he wins. He gets tapped, hes not as experienced so he didnt really lose. He showed good defense by avoiding being submitted for a few minutes so he wins. If he submits him he wins. He's much larger, hes been doing BJJ for far longer and your making it our like hes some novice white belt who should get some milk and cookies for getting on the mat.
@zayatkinson72534 жыл бұрын
Russell ward adcc competitions means a lot, rather than just rolling in the gym; it’s how top people actually get much better....I’m not a fan of ralek, I was responding to the comment about gracies losing....ralek is no where near experience level of Garry, but he escaped and had good moves when other guys got submitted quickly.....as I mentioned, kron stopped Garry fairly easy, which kron is the top gracie right now
@russellward46244 жыл бұрын
@@zayatkinson7253 But they arent competing under ADCC rules so why would taht matter? ADCC is a point based system, this match wasnt. ADCC is 10mn time limit, 20 for finals. But even if helped theres a great way t combat that. Compete. Its just a lame excuse for him to use.

In every one of these matches where one of Rorions boys are in, these commentators act like they’re absolutely surprised that the Gracie’s know any jiujitsu. Just because they don’t like competition doesn’t mean they haven’t been doing jiujitsu since they were in diapers.

Everyone take note: what Ralek just did before he was forced to tap due to submission, is exactly what NOT to do. If you want a tutorial on exactly what not to do THAT would be it. The guy's getting him into a leg lock, so he rolls into KNEEBAR POSITION, then figure fours his legs around his body. It's like just begging someone: "TOEHOLD ME... please! Just in case you don't get the kneebar first."
@Jiu-Jitsu-Robot Жыл бұрын
I’m no fan of Ralek but maybe you should go teach him this set up so he doesn’t get caught up again. Because there’s no doubt you have better technique than this guy who has been doing jiu jitsu since he was a fetus.

Ralek Gracie defended very well, he does not compete and he flows great even with the top level fighters. If he would have trained more with his cousin Kron he would have at least pull a draw, or maybe a surprise submission on Tonon.
