Yeah? At 218? He's not just bigger. You're telling me this fucking guy weighs 218?? Might as well be 280! He's roided beyond belief!! Just look at his before and after pictures!!
@anklelocker2924
@anklelocker2924 3 жыл бұрын
@@simonc3112 No shit, genius. Royce was taking down roided guys in the 90's. Roids help, but they don't make you more technical. Ryan is big and technical, Ralek had exactly 0% chance of winning.
@simonc3112
@simonc3112 3 жыл бұрын
@@anklelocker2924 Wow, what an idiot you must be... you are comparing Royce taking down people in NHB (before it was even called MMA) during an era when the sport had not even evolved to that extent yet with now?? Royce was taking down some guys that didn't know shit about grappling, let alone submissions. Jiu Jitsu was a totally new concept to most people here. A lot of the competition you'd see in the UFC looked more like people that were bar room brawlers rather than world class competitors. Now everybody knows too much... a Royce Gracie would never be able to do something like that today... even in the early 2000's (which we all saw). I never said they make you "more technical," I'm not doubting that he has technical ability, and he's an awesome grappler. I don't know how they designate their weight classes in Metamorphis (this actually looks like a small-time gym match up rather than a professional organization), but he's obviously bigger, regardless of his being more technically sound than Ralek, weight advantage has a lot to do with things actually, but that's actually not exactly the point here... he has taken an immense amount of steroids, which is CHEATING. It's unfair competition.
@simonc3112
@simonc3112 3 жыл бұрын
@Damien Rhodes That's a good question. He might be. I'm sure they don't test for it at the big Metamorphis events in Japan, let alone here where it was taking place in a gym. It's just that with Ryan, it's rather obvious... it's almost impossible to say "might," but you have a good point. So many people are nowadays and it's ruined the sport.

That was a sick display of total control, and he did it at the headquarters! That had to be sobering for the Gracie family to see such absolute domination happening to one of their own. Danaher is truly a master of the art and a strategic genius. What a display of what he can produce!

Considering Danaher was trained by Renzo Gracie and The Danaher Death Squad resided at the Renzo Gracie Academy up to 2020, I say the Gracie family should always be prideful. But it’s a big family with many many people, so some may feel more proud than others with Gordon’s success lol.

Ralek literally could not do anything. This whole match. There are a number of gracies that ahould have done this over Ralek. Clark, Roger, Kron, Crosley to start with...but if you want a noncompetitive gracie, it should been ryron or rener.. then again im pretty sure ralek called him oit ao that he could test his gjj against the best competitor available. Still commendable although a mismatch. We are talking a basketbqll coach vs an allstar nba player

Gordon's heavy top game, his bullfighter passes, his leg pummeling, ... is all Renzo's style. Guys this is the shit that crushes all. Its almost like Ralek got beat by the technique that is being taught in NY/ NJ, originally from Brazil, with a great corner/ coach. Gordon was using the proven Catch wrestling Gracie killer method here; constantly grinding with those heavy Knee and Elbow Rides to make Ralek move in order to secure better positions and submission holds. Same method Josh Barnett used to defeat Ralek's brother Ryron Gracie (and Dean Lister) at an earlier metamoris event.

This is my take, danaher calls his first and last name because as a mentor/coach he has built gordon up not only in bjj but im sure also in philosophy of war , danaher is no dum dum. He knows people watching can hear him and most certainly his opponent can hear him and its slowly breaking him down mentally . He gives his student the respect of calling him by his first and last , and subconsciously demands the people to know gordon ryan is and respect him . Truly beautiful

He was bullied. It looked like the night before a fight when you are just letting a guy from your own academy cycle through his attack sequences without full resistance. Ryan has put on a lot of muscle and I am pretty sure he had fought so much more than Ralek over the last three years. Ralek was delusional in taking the bout and, judging from the action, it looked like there was an agreement or rule set that prohibited leg attacks. It didn't really look like a fight, more an exhibition ( of how much better Ryan is ) match.

Ralek Gracie is a G for giving other athletes top in the game to go against him and put his name the line for others to expose the effectiveness of jiu jitsu. its not about win or lose. its about respect & anyone hating on Ralek should try and fight him, it took one of the best 11 minutes. id like to see anyone talking smack here to go one minute with Ralek. He is too kind of a human too let animal instinct out. in the end the art prevails, every name is just a label.

Gordan's (and Danaher's) intention was to show how well Gordan outclassed Gracie. It was Danaher's plan. The game plan was to get a submission at the 10 min mark, which is why every time he achieved a dominant position, he just gave it up to show everyone how quickly he can reachieve it. Also, Danaher was playing a PsyOp. Every time a note-worthy objective was achieved, Danaher made sure to speak up and proclaim the compromised position Gracie was in. It was a match up of two incredibly different levels of skill.

Just to add some perspective to this video, Gordon trains almost exclusively FOR competition-style Jiu-Jitsu. Ralek does NOT. In fact, it's a rare thing for this line of Gracie's to do ANY training in competition-style Jiu-Jitsu, let alone COMPETE in a tourney. So apples to apples??? Nah. Still, Gordon is an AWESOME BEAST!!!

Watching this, I realize how similar this looks to the recent CJI match between Nicky Ryan and Andrew Tackett. Andrew being GR and Nicky being Ralek in comparison. Much higher tempo, total control, even has shin to face moments and constant agility shown in top position movement around in circles on the bottom guy. It just LOOKS so similar.
