Garuda Linux Barebones

NOTE: at 03:04 it is not a penguin, it is an eagle, of course, Garuda...my eyes :)
This is my favorite flavor of Garuda Linux. The Barebones edition with the newly released Garuda Linux Bateleur offers the basic packages, while maintain the btrfs file system and Timeshift for snapshots.

Garuda Linux is getting better and better. I'm about to switch from Manjaro to Garuda even in my workstations. The barebone ISO is perfect to build your system from a minimal but functional desktop

Hat off to the Garuda team this time. They listened to the feedback of critical Linux-users and they ask in easy to digest bits (for (relative) newcomers to Linux) what they want to get installed. They even include tkg.

I'm currently torn between timeshift and snapper, what would you recommend?

Timeshift is definitely easier to set up, but snapper has more features. It depends what is important to you from these two differences.

03:04 - It looks like a penguin to me, too. 12:00 - You used to make educational videos about Linux in a more in-depth fashion, which I liked a lot. There is a slight hint at this at 12:00. There are too many KZbinrs that cover Linux distro reviews but only few that show in-depth knowledge like you did some time ago. I don't know if your audience is more geared towards what you are doing at the moment, but I would really like you to cover different topics that go into the nitty-gritty of Linux. Thanks for being on the internet and your KZbin channel.

@@eflinux I understand. What I wanted to say was that your channel - and I think any channel should have - a unique selling point, and that is exactly what you have and should not lose. To my mind, there are too many KZbinrs that do Distro reviews and only few KZbinrs that have a highly educational value, which you and your videos have. I don't want you to lose this focus.

What is up with Arch Linux I don't have apparmor installed, I had to reinstall to a new hard drive do to failed r/w errors bad sectors. My first full system update I got apparmor, I looked everything up and it was installed with core!

Pay no attention to the hate haters. Hate is a perfectly natural emotion to feel and express. Some distros elicit a hate reaction, and that is valid. :)
