Gary Lineker is a former professional footballer, regarded as one of the greatest English strikers in history.
Since retiring from football, Gary moved into sports broadcasting, presenting the football show Match of the Day since the late 1990s, the longest tenure of any MOTD presenter!

Gary Lineker, forever a pale version of the legendary Mr. Des Lynam; in the mid 1980's I delivered a black Audi to Gary and his former wife Mrs Michelle Cockayneat at Dovercourt Motors in Saint Johnswood, London (on a freezing rainy day accompanied by my little brother who adored Gary as a player) I politely asked Gary for an autograph on the behalf of my little brother only to be rejected. Man this was one of the worst interviews ever. And this has NOTHING to do with the interview skills of the hosts or anything, they were great.
