Gary Moore Never have I mourned the passing of a rock star as much as when Gary left us. There are others who make me sad in their passing, but no one has left my musical life so empty. R.I.P. Its very good....being a 40 year guitar professional picker,I havent seen such a natural picker who plays with soul and feeling like he does/did.......He should of been bigger than big....

Gary Moore was definitely one of the best shredders and one of the best blues guitarists ever. Not to forget about his vocals, he was also a really good singer.

This is Gary at his soulful best. I was very lucky to see him play in a number of contexts including a small pub gig, a couple of medium sized club / theatre dates and once at a fair sized arena. He never gave less than 100% and his talent was mind-blowing. So sad that he left us so early.

Saw him at the Monsters of Rock in Nuremberg Germany 1984…. He put on the best guitar solos I’ve ever heard….I became a Gary Moore that day!

Sheer unadulterated genius! The lack of press coverage after his passing still amazes and saddens me. I scoured many papers to find no mention at all or only the most cursory comments whereas if it had been some more widely and publicly recognized guitar hero (names withheld on request) there would have been pages of dithyrambic articles exclaiming the end of an era.

I totally agree.I don't hate Prince but when he passed away , whole world went crazy.He has earned all that respect.He was amazing musician but it was so fucked up when actually nobody mentioned Gary after his passing.Every late night / tonight's show makes a tribute about any musican/actor , celebrity in general but nobody gave a fuck about Gary.That hurts , a lot.

Still Gary's best solo I think... I saw him play in 87 in Birmingham around this time... he finished the set with the 'Loner' and I just wanted to sell all my guitars and amps and give up. Phenomenal player and always has been. RIP Gary.

If you thumb down this video you don’t recognise what talent this is. That’s a real guitar player right there, one of the very best to ever do it. What a terrific bit of playing on this live version. He could play blues he could play rock he could shred too, truly unique. Rest In Peace

Gary was like a fine gem. Few and far between and very hard to find. There will always be great guitarist’s but Gary was a one of a kind. Loved him from the first time I heard him and still do. I only wish he was with us longer because I think he was getting better the older he got and I would love to hear what he would be doing now if he was still with us. 🐢

For him to be playing with "Thin Lizzy" and then to go solo and play like this is unbelievable. He an icon and I don't know of any other guitarist who can make his guitar weep like Gary can. RIP Gary Moore 🎸🎸🎸🙏🙏🙏
