So sad. I've been into him 20+ years. If I didn't know who he was and heard THIS solo, I'd jump in front of a train. For I'd realize what I been missing all those years. A bit of n exaggeration, but mostly true. He was and still is my #1.

If this song does not touch the very depth of your soul then you will truly never understand what having the blues is about.....R.I.P Gary Moore

I disagree. If the song doesn't touch the very depth of your soul, you've never loved another deeply and without thoughts of yourself. This may be a blues song, but its more than about the blues.

If I ever leave you Well, you can say I told you so And if I ever hurt you, baby You know I hurt myself as well Is that any way for a man to carry on? Do you think I want my loved one gone? Said, I love you more than you'll ever know More than you'll ever know When I wasn't making very much money You know where my paycheck went I brought it on home to you, baby I never even spent one red cent Is that any way for a man to carry on? Do you think I want my loved one gone? Said, I love you more than you'll ever know More than you'll ever know I'm not trying to be just any kind of man You know that I'm just trying to be someone You can love and trust and understand I know that I must try to be A part of you that no one else can see But I gotta hear you say, I gotta hear you say It's alright I'm only flesh and blood But I can be anything that you demand Well, I can be king of everything Or just a tiny grain of sand I said, I love you more than you'll ever know I said, I love you more than you'll ever know

A lot of guitar players can shred, play complicated arpeggios or tapping tech or wammy bar effects, but only a few off them can do the most important thing for a guitar player, to deliver a feel and emotions through the guitar playing, gary moore was one off the few in that category, the original version of the song was phenomenal but also gary moore's version is highly good, thanks gary, R.I.P, thanks for sharing

I agree, I think one who is right up there with him is Carlos Santana. They both play with a lot of emotion through their guitar.
