In 1989 I was working as a crew person for a German band called Victory. We were Support band for Gary for 40 shows on Gary's After the War tour. It was life changing to hear him play every night. He was a nice guy to. We talked many times. He sat with me while I was checking out a new guitar amp and he signed my laminate tour pass which is one of my cherished mementos of that time. I'm still at it and work for Foghat now. Thanks for doing this song. He is missed.

Taking nothing away from the absolutely stunning performance and talent of Mr. Moore, hearing this song sung by the late great Phil Lynott is mandatory! His magical, velvety voice accompanied by Gary's sobbing guitar will bring chills down the spine of any listener!

Yeah such a nice man, he lived in kingwood common, Oxfordshire for a while (1990's). just up the road from where I lived in Peppard. you often see him in the village. I was one of a few locals who knew who he was, being a fan since the mid 80's after stumbling on the victims of the future album.

Gary Moore was the man as far as I'm concerned. Had the privilege of seeing him twice and left both times in a sheer stupor at his playing. He was known as a Gibson Les Paul player but for me his best performance was at the Fender Anniversary Awards paying tribute to Jimi Hendrix playing Red House on a Fender. When he finished the performance the guitar was finished...he'd played it literally to death. There's always arguements over who's the best guitarist, I love SRV, Vai, Satriani, Malmsteen etc but for me Moore was the man for his tone and feeling imparted into his music. Thanks for the memories Gary, RIP. 😔 kzbin.info/www/bejne/pqfYaIxvZt2Iga8

Hey Ritch-n=Kel, My name is Walter Gill from Topeka, Kansas and that is why I'm a huge fan of hard rock , prog rock/metal, metal & blues!! OMFG!!, There aren't any words and if that wasn't a love letter to Paris, France!? Well then, It should have been one!! That live version of that song speaks volumes to Gary Moore's amazing talent and to all his fans that still love and miss him very much!! But we still have the music to keep the memories of him alive!! FYI Gary Moore played with Skid Row and Not that band from the "80's and he also played with Thin Lizzy back in the "70's before he'd went solo in the "80's and he had done hard rock, some metal & blues before he had passed in 2911!! Love your KZbin page and regardless of the reason why you're doing it, You had me metal & prog rock/metal and I think that you're one of a rare breed of couples that really do show love and don't gives a f ck who sees it and that's makes it real!! Love you both and hope that you have an amazing Memorial Day tomorrow and hope to hear from you soon!! Thanks & Stay Metal!! -

I remember the fist time I heard Gary Moore in the early 80’s and the song was End of the World. I was hooked. Only saw him once live in a small club in San Francisco. Stood about 30 feet and watched him shred the guitar. Will never forget that concert. That was the last concert at that venue since it burned to the ground a day or so later. I said to myself that Garry burned it to the ground litterly. What a talent. Was always drawn to metal bands that had a little bit of a blues influane metal & a little blues is a great combination. That is why my all time favorite is Dave Meniketti. Many Y&T songs especially the solo’s have a blues influence. 45 years later he is still playing and saw them Last month. Still blown away every time I see Dave play. I think most of the listeners have never heard Dave Meniketti play, since they were never a huge band sales or air play. Would recommend listening to #Y&T Forever. This was the song that Rob Halford said was his favorite song many years ago and one of my all time favorites.

Gary Moore literally made me discover Blues with his shred-infused Blues playing. His approach to Blues opened up a whole new world to me. It also made me appreciate early Priest more, when they were more of a "Blues Metal" - even covering Peter Green's The Green Manalishi.

Moore's 1959 Les Paul Standard guitar was famed for its distinctive out-of-phase sound attributed to a possible pickup repair, in which the magnet in the neck pickup had been flipped, causing the out-of-phase sound when combined with the bridge pickup. The guitar was originally owned by Peter Green (of Fleetwood Mac). Green sold the guitar to his younger friend Moore in 1974 for the price that Moore got from selling a Gibson SG, his main guitar at that time. Moore used the guitar extensively over the next 30-plus years, on hits such as "Parisienne Walkways", which was his best-known song. The guitar is now owned by Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett who purchased the guitar, a number of years after Moore had sold it, for an undisclosed amount (believed to be $3M).

He's a great player, but let's not alow hero worship to take over entirely. He missed a fair few, especially early on when many of the bends didn't make it.

Robert Davies he did but he just kept rolling with it, that’s experience. He was able to steer it back on track every time, and that’s what you call a professional.

Love the homage to Irish bagpipes at the end ! Amazing how near he was to his passing yet he was playing better and better. I get the feeling he knew and was giving us his all. God bless him.

Gary Moore is the 🐐 in my opinion. My all time favourite guitar-artist ( the category reserved for the greats). The technical ability combined with the feel and emotion is at a godlike level ...one of those people if you saw them live it was a religious experienced...R.I.P

Got to see Gary Moore back in 1983, with Krokus (Gary Moore & Krokus both played for 90 minutes each, Krokus closing the show). Both bands were on tour with Def Leppard at the time, but did a one-off show when Def Leppard had a few days off. Anywho, Gary was on fire that night. I still know people who talk about that show, not knowing who Gary Moore was, and having to pick their jaws up off the floor after being amazed by his playing.

Dear God that boy could play guitar, not only that but he could make it sing and dance soooo sweetly. RIP Gary. We'll always love you.

The best guitarist ever. You need to see Empty Rooms, live in Stockholm and Separate Ways, live in London. Love your reactions!

Hi Rich And Kel, thank you for this video, first sorry for your loss, Gary Moore was a great musician, like several other guitarist's both past and present he took us into a world of sounds that not many people can achieve, sounds that touch our souls to such an extent that when your realy tuned into it ,it's a full brain and body experience , I guess what I'm trying to say is you either like it or you don't, I personally like all garry's stuff, at 70yrs old I'm still rocking on to this style of playing. Take care you two.Best Wishes.Stuart uk.
