How come such a phenomenal talent and he's so underrated. he's as good as Clapton, Duane Allman, Jimi Hendrix and SRV. I didn't even know his name until a month back. so i discovered him only after he was dead... too bad. I just listened to a couple of songs of his and i can say he's among the best of the best.

@@davestro2000 your crazy, this dude plays his ass of almost to a level of srv or pretty close to beimg side by side, clapton was not even close to being able to play like this, clapton is good and has some slow and faster stuff but if your talking about playing the "blues"!!! this guy would make eric look like a novice just like when gary is playing the sky is crying with albert king, he just makes albert look like the old version of the automobile, like one that is still really good but gary is the newer and more improved model with way more gadgets and stuff. i love clapton but sry bro, clapton cant touch this guy, there are levels and this guy is a notch or two higher.

Based on the comments, 649 of us GET IT and I feel sorry for the 7 that don't. It must be awesome to possess such talent - I could only dream of playing a guitar like that. It's an emotional experience watching Gary Moore turn himself inside-out as his finger-tips capture the raw essence of what it's like to be a true bluesman. Yeah, feelin' the sway and the tingle. Thank god for KZbin, the electric guitar, and those that have mastered it.

Im 38y old and as such just about the right age to have picked up on Gary already during the -80s. I didnt, I just threw him in with the rest of the "great" hard rock guitarists, where he more or less belonged then. Since then he have grown on me to become one of my absolute fav guitarists. This cover, the covers of Red House and Need Your Love so Bad thogether with Still got the Blues(there are more ofc) are so intense and cuts right throu to the soul. He was amazing.

I'm a Huge Clapton Fan, but I think Gary edges him out on this number. Also check out his version of Red House... I won't say Underated, but maybe 2 biggest Forgotten players in this style - Gary Moore & Rory Gallagher. Only My Opinion!!
@perkalov10 жыл бұрын
That's big for a Clapton fan. To me Clapton is really good. no question about it, but his delivery is clinical. It doesn't give the blues like Gary does. Red House is a good example as well. Go check Need Your Love So Bad or Walking By Myself for yet more examples.

@billyclub56........I just recently came across Gary Moore, so I'm checking out as much of his music as possible. EXCELLENT call on the "Red House" version. I love Jimi, but honestly, I think I may like Gary's version even better. Thanks for the recommendation!! :)
