Being a vetran fan circa 1979, my favourite will allways be the original, BUT when he plays it live it's allways amazing.

Numan's album, "Hybrid", has his remake of this song that's the best of all of them! Nobody ever plays it, though! 😔

Strong new wave energy with him, always. Great keyboard/synth work.

I really like this version of his own hit, at the time with the Tubeway army it was another proposition, I like both, but here there is a tension that I find very interesting! thank you!!!!

I can't tell you how important Gary's music is to me. Got me through some hard times in my teens. Forever grateful to him for that ♥ This version is superb...

Got to add, I agree as to the intensity of the contrast between heavy and stark piano. Gary's def find a harder, more confident sound over the years, but retained his originality. Matured, progressed... Quite wonderful really ❤

I have never seen your channel before... So when you arrived on my screen and before you even spoke, I thought, hang on, he looks a bit like Gary. Yes, I can see you are related. Be very proud of that.

My favorite version, hands down. The original comes in second, and I almost wore out the vinyl on that one.

I prefer the original Tubeway Army version, but great tune. I'm sure that is the version you were thinking of when you said this one sounds different.

Classic version of a classic track... Nearly as good as the cover version I did with James Baring (joke, but very proud of it) Xx

I was going to say he kinda of reminds me of Gord Downie, then i thought no, you know me probably way off and then you mentioned it. This was dark and haunting exactly! 😊🩷🤘✌️
