I get pumped up from Gary’s energy, but bummed out at the same time. It’s never any specifics. Anecdotes, over voice inflection/annunciation, positive attitude with some curse words to grab attention but never anything close to a blue print for success. I feel like for someone 25 or younger, he spits gold with every sentence. However with someone older with some experience and wisdom it sounds like word salad sometimes. I try to pick everyone’s brain that has had success and I do like Gary, I just wish he would provide more insight.

What would you like him to say that he hasn't already said? His philosophy can be summed up into a few words. Make content for your audience. Now that you have the cliff notes, are you going to make content? Probably not. Because you're like most people. You're waiting for someone to hold your hand and tell you that everything is going to be okay. If you have experience, make content about your experience and relate that content to your audience. There you go. Now get out of the comment section looking for answers to a problem you solve by doing the work.

Its actually easier to verify income via a W-2, because that is your true net comp from an employer - and in my business , the sales team has to be compensated via W-2. As a musician I’ve been putting out “content” (14 albums, 4 eps, 5 singles) over the last 20 years. Yeah I’m older than a lot of you. I only put out “content” I’m very happy with and that takes a long time to create. I still don’t make much money from it at all because I like to make what I like to listen to - not what the market demands. So I have a very small niche following but not at all something I could pay a months rent with let alone a year’s. I have to have a regular job. I cannot get myself to just put out content in any other business as well unless it’s well made and meaningful content - which it can’t possibly be if you’re just putting out content for the sake of making sure no one forgets you exist. Tbh Gary Vee puts out WAYYYYYYY too much content and they are all slight variations of each other except the delivery is quite consistent… that of someone who has been pounding Red Bulls and snorting lines all day. It’s an obnoxious American attitude taken to an extreme and not a good way to live.
