Reviewing the "BEST INDIAN GASTROPUB" in LONDON!

I'm back today with another video and I'm bringing you the Prince of Wales desi pub in Southall. The last time I visited an Indian gastropub was at the Soho Tavern in Birmingham and I loved it, so I thought I'd try and find one in London and give it a go to see how it compares. Southall and Queensbury/Kingsbury have a plethora of authentic Indian/Bangladeshi/Pakistani restaurants serving authentic little known traditional dishes. Not like your usual High Street restaurant. Lovely Asian delis also. I think that red sauce was either Tamarind and/or Pomegranate. Next time try mixing with the mint. I think your 8/10 is really fair Mr G. I personally don't mind the okra like that. Glad you didn't use your man's fingers to eat your ladies fingers 😊 That Garlic nan looked great and that pile of sizzling meat had me salivating. Took a mate of mine and "Just gave this pub a go" had a lovely meal of their outstanding Tandoori fish and Tandoori chicken with the obligatory spicy pops with chutneys. And then a Lamb Rogan with the black dal makhani and a naan. All delicious sunk with a few beers. Came out stuffed a solid 8/10. Cheers for the tip Gary and keep up the enjoyable reviews. This is the 2nd time I've tried somewhere you've reviewed and I can't wait to try a third!

Chemo can be rough, so it's nice to hear watching Gary lifted your mood 😊 I had two different types of Chemo then radiotherapy over the past 14 months and finally Car-T therapy recently and it's looks like I'm finally winning! GARY!!!! That looked amazing, so many places get the sizzling mixed grill wrong, the explosion of Indians etc in pubs has been a welcome and usually better value addition to the dining scene, it's a win/win for the pub who can sub let the space and take a slice of the drink revenue and provide a dining option without the need to staff with high wage costs, this looked particularly tasty!! You should try Vadah or Le Raj both fabulous Indian restaurants Vadah is on the river in Stockton and le raj is in sedgefield not far from Stockton , so if you are ever in the North east Gary you might want to try them

Greetings from a wet and cold Delhi. I have been to this pub.. food is great and the atmosphere when it is busy is really friendly. Top tip is squeeze some lemon over the tandoori kababs.. it really helps to bring out the flavour. 🙏🏽

"It's just a pub that sells Indian and Punjabi food" says Gary, that sounds like the greatest pub in the universe to me! Absolutely love Indian, Afghan, Sri Lankan and Bangladeshi food, but most of all I adore Pakistani food, so so underrated and under represented over in Ireland and the UK, it's fantastic. To be honest with you I'm in love with all types of Middle Eastern and Southern Asian foods.

That tandoori chicken looks amazing! Green one is of course the mint chutney, the red one is probably devil chutney but looks a bit too runny to be such. Hard for me to tell without tasting it. Sometimes the salad you got comes in yoghurt and is called Raita and it is amazing with a mixed grill. I also love that you always make sure you get a veg curry. For dessert I highly recommend you try the rasmalai sometime if you haven't already, it is like a dumpling that is served in cardomom, cinnamon, and rose sweetened milk. It is my favourite Indian dessert.

Another fabulous video. Some great comments of support below, and a great comment from the pub - impressive and welcome. That plate of food is amazing to look at, sounds nice (on the sizzle), and no doubt smells nice. And clearly it tastes nice too. Those prawns are a meal on their own, so meaty. And clearly generous spicing throughout. / lol at the genuine reaction to that hot sauce, this is what we love, that genuine reaction caught on camera. / I think that looked a stunning meals,even if the orkra was a little overcooked. Another great video - and I guessed your score as well !!! Yay. And huge congratulations on being SO SO SO near to 50,000 Subscribers. I did say at the start of January, that 50K was likely by the end of January, and it's so close. Easily 100K+ by the end of 2024. Camera work brilliant, showing that sizzling was perfection. 👍👍👍👍👍
