Gary thanks so much for this. One of the many reasons why I admire Steve Perry is because he's so humble.Unfortunately there are certain other so-called celebrities who are very arrogant and very self centred. It made me smile when Steve waved, thanked and clapped the live crowd while they were clapping him at the end.

I believe that for the first time since he walked away from his music and his fans...Steve Perry acknowledged how hurt and saddened we the fans were at his leaving us. He said "we dig him" what an understatement. We love him passionately and waited for him patiently to return to us. We kept his music alive and he has returned to us with a new understanding of the true love we have and have always had for him. We did wait ... we have never gone away.I

At 4:55 he starts singing A snippet of Under the Boardwalk from the Drifters and he sounds incredible, of course. There are still a few haters out there who claim that Steve can’t sing anymore and that the Traces album was recorded many years ago. SMH are you deaf?

Steve perry has always been one of my favorites as a teenager in 1987. His new album really is great. Thanks for your music. Your singing really helped me to feel comfortable to sing by myself as I really wanted to sing. I did go through alot of similar situations as per your interviews. Luv you man .looking forward to your new songs

Hi Gary Stucky. Merry Christmas. I've been kinda out of the loop lately although I did listen to Steve Perry singing Wish you a Merry Little Christmas. I sang that song as a solo soprano when I was in 8th grade 13 years old. I know you must know how to contact him personally. Even though he is so famous. Does he ever hang out for a few hours with any of his fans? Just curious.

Thank you for this wonderful interview. I love Steve Perry because he is such a humble most kind hearted person that I would like to meet someday. He is an amazing singer and song writer and has been missed by so many people around the world. I am so happy he is back! All his songs on his new and past albums all have stories and meanings behind them, and that is why people just love him. He touches us with his music like no other musician can. I would love it if he would write an autobiography. Would like to hear more about his upbringing his adolescent years, the time when he was with Journey and after he left Journey when the Trial by Fire era ended. To me that was when he really went away for the last time. To me it really doesn't matter if Steve Perry tours in support of this new album, what matters to me is that he is back and I hope that he continues his new Journey with this new profound love he has found for music again.♡♡♡

My name is Amy and I really don't think he ( Steve) has any idea how he truly makes his music makes us (the fans) feel. I went through so much truly in my life that his voice has helped me cope. He has truly helped me in so many ways for so long. Noone has or ever will take his place. I love him so very VERY much. I really want to finish my bucket list by seeing him just one time. I know uncle Steve is not getting younger and neither am I but it's nice to dream. I love you Steve and thank you for making my pain a little less. 😘❤️

As sad as it was when Steve decided to leave journey now I'm so Glad he did because like he said certain behavior, life style and Traveling the world has caused people their lives or taken a huge toll on them and they didn't age as well as Steve he's still good looking, so he had the wisdom to know when to hold em,when to fold em and when to walk away, getting old is a drag, no matter how many times he's asked the same repetitive questions about what he did the many years ago when he left journey, he's always so kind to explain over and over the same story he has told many times....

I'm glad u said that cuz I was thinking the same thing. Every time I read these comments to and about Steve, and add my own, I think... "I wonder if he ever reads these. I wish I knew. I hope he does. It would be such a shame for a man to be so beloved and not know it. And all these expressions of love to go unreceived." So to hear him say that, makes me think he must have received the message. And I'm so glad. He gave 110% on stage to his fans and he's a kind-hearted humble guy who deserves to know how we feel about him. WE LOVE YOU, STEVE!!!!!

I agree with the others, I think this is the best interview I have seen so far. Thank you for posting. He seems so comfortable and open. Jim Kerr is an excellent interviewer -- enjoyed the interview he did with Steve for his own radio program as well. I liked that the focused the questions on the current album versus Journey questions. Also, I am beginning to wonder if perhaps he might do another album and then maybe do a tour of that album, Traces and some of his earlier work. He talks in a lot of his interviews about having a lot of other material he wants to do. I would love to see him live. I would prefer he does smaller/more intimate venues versus stadiums. Maybe do a few nights at certain locations or even if he does a residency somewhere. What do you think?

Steve probably feel a little insecure about his nose ,he probably recieved many jokes about his nose as a youngster from people who had no idea how successful he would become .I too find his nose to be a very handsome part of him. A small nose would not have become his beautiful strong jawline. So beautiful at his young age and still handsome and charismatic today.
