My grandmother's heat went out at night in 15 degree weather, and your Taco valve video helped me hotwire the system until I could replace the piston half of it (which I now know I can do myself and save her some money). Your videos are much appreciated.

I had the same problem with my unit and it turned out to be just a bad connection on the gas valve ! I only noticed it because I happen to have opened it up just in time for the gas valve to open and I could see ever so lightly a very tiny spark ! Who would've guessed it ! I guess all the vibration over the past 12 years it finally came loose ( that and the fact that everyone had been inside it to clean it up and keep it running ! Good Job ! Seems like you have been getting a lot of easier jobs lately ! God Bless and drive safe !

@Fireship16 жыл бұрын
Stoltenberg Quality Services he uses propane. Carries it in aluminum cylinder. Easier to haul around than a “B” tank.
@PlumbingExplained6 жыл бұрын
Fireship1 does he really use propane ?? Maybe that’s an east coast thing I’ve only seen home owners using propane here. We all use map gas or some of the hvac guys will use their brazing equipment. Definitely not saying Steve is anything but a professional of the highest standard when it comes to plumbing and hvac

Justin Rolfe a good DMM by fluke or fieldpiece. A small metric and standard socket set. Nut drivers. A small cordless drill/driver. Crescent wrenches. A few pairs of channel locks. An inspection mirror and a good flashlight. A hammer and tape measure. Long and stubby screwdrivers in standard and Phillips. Standard pliers, needle nose pliers and linesman’s pliers. A pipe wrench or two. A pair of vice grips or two. A bunch of alligator test jumpers. You’ll ultimately need a gauge set. I’d go digital like the testo 550. This is a basic list. You’ll need more tools as you take on more jobs. This will get you started.

Poor design on that blower access! I learned long ago when you go a job and can't really find anything wrong with it is not to say I checked this and that and couldn't find anything. You better off just like you did to have some possibilities of a cause to shut down.
