Vic the Boss of the Lucheese family was extremely unsure of himself and knew that the orderes they sent weren't right but he didn't feel or had the courage to stand up to Casso, even though Casso was the underboss he acted as if he was the Boss and Vic didn't say nothing. The FBI also got an anonymous call from somebody saying where Vic was in hiding and he and everyone thought Casso had given him up. Al D'arco was the acting boss and in his book people got scared of Casso and his accusations. Nobody ever got the info or the proof of any of his claims so yeah people did talk.

I was in Toronto's Don Jail, just convicted for Manslaughter, beat down from a 2nd degree M @ 19 YO (got a tiny sentence. Was defending myself. Shouldn't have even been convicted, but anyways...). And there was about to be a war. And I remember, cuting plastic plates in a cell, that evening. Making shanks. And I remember thinking "Oh man. Here we go..." Really not looking forward to the bloodshed. The next morning, 5am, I was brought to A&D, onto the Goose, and off to my Mother Institution... God saved me that day. From what may have happened to me, and what I may have done to others. Others I had no personal beef with. I was on the street in a year. I now do social work (includng outreach) in the 'hood. Let's be real, Gas and Sam are both the same kind of brutal human beings. Gas and Sam were two of the most low profile, business-wise, but at the same time brutal and ruthless gangsters of their era. LCN is not like the NFL or MLB where players are you could compare the style of two players, but Sam and Gas were literally identical in terms of treachery and whatnot. All he did was whine like a little baby about how the government was unfair to him and used him for testimony then threw him away. They had clips mixed in with short interviews with agents and the prosecutors that were originally helping him and they just listed all the nonsense he did to get thrown out. It was ridiculous! GasPipe had a decent deal and then he pissed it all away still trying to be a mafiosa while in the witseg unit. He was crying he would never see his daughter again and blamed it on the FBI. He mentions ADX Supermax like its a badge of honor, but to be honest he was still locked up in a protective custody wing, with other dropouts and snitches. Besides, you spend most of your time locked up in your cell at ADX so it doesn't make a difference really. The other inmates are probably the least of your worries there. From what i read the noise in there is really loud cause guys yell at each other from cell to cell, and they keep the lights on a lot, and wake you up in the middle of the night, so guys are complaining of being sleep deprived, apparently the food is horrible too and can even make you sick. But the biggest thing is the isolation, the "no human contact" deal ... they say that program was designed to make people go crazy.. I wouldn't doubt it.
