Hi there, just wanted to say this was a fantastic review, really well made. Was wondering, do you know if it's possible to make the Wooting Two sound just as thocky as this? I bought some foam from amazon and put it with the existing stock foam but it felt like it made no difference. Does the 80HE have more room under the PCB for foam or something? I barely had any room when I added mine in
@mikeytypes2 ай бұрын
@@Luke_ thank you! I took a look at the Two HE on the Wooting channel just to see if I could get a rough estimate on how much room there was it does seem like very little room available kinda like the 60HE. My suggestion would be maybe try adding some cotton type foam on the bottom that is able to be compressed easily. The next I would do is tape the bottom of the PCB. The 80HE zinc case has decent room on the bottom I found to easily modify it. For the Two HE I would test how many layers I am assuming about 2-3 layers would be the limit but you can try more. Lube the switches and yeah if you have like cotton balls try adding some on the bottom
@Luke_Ай бұрын
@@mikeytypes Thanks for the advice! So I already did a tape mod (4 layers) and bought some cotton balls to spread out under the PCB. It's kinda worked? What I found to improve the thockiness was to actually not screw the plate in all the way to give some space under it. Doesn't sound as good as good as your Geon Raws demonstration and feels a bit hollow but oh well lol, it's still nice to use. Part of me wants to give my Two HE to my brother for Christmas and get myself an 80HE but I'm struggling to justify it since I only bought this back in August 😭
@mikeytypesАй бұрын
@@Luke_ oh that's completely fair! Yeah, the thing is because mine is with the Zinc case and the way the whole keyboard is built with so much space on the bottom it allowed me to modify it quite a bit more. Don't you think that the zinc alloy adds to the bad sound? Seems like the plastic 80he sounds considerably better than the zinc alloy one, especially by dampening the rattling noise of the space bar. Overall, the zinc alloy case adds up to the rattling sound and gives an metallic echo. Would like to hear your perspective.

Whats different about 1.2 or 1.6 stabilisers do both fit/work?

I don't know how your space stab ended, but with the same stabs and trying absolutely every combination of lube and tighten screws, etc etc, I couldn't manage for my life to have an spamable space bar with them. Everything I tried, ended with a slugggish laggy spacebar that felt sticky AF, tried even with 2 different switches and all the same (lekker 45 and ttc king of magnetic) Maybe they need a 65gr switches to be able to lift the spacebar without problems dunno. Thinking I made some mistake I couldn't see, I asked on discord and reddit and suddenly a lot of people with the same problem and stabs came. Not a single one said "they work fine for me", no, literally no one, everyone with problems. I don't know how you did it, or if you just don't spam the spacebar enough in games to notice it super slow and sluggish, but I wouldn't recomend the TX AP 1.6 screw long pole for this keyboard to my worse enemy. It makes every single key using them unusable for gaming.
@mikeytypesАй бұрын
Okay, so over time I started to have that issue with the TX stabilizers and I found a solution I can try making a video on them as well, but if you lube the padding wooting out on where the stabilizer housing sits because that’s the part that is making it sticky and then you don’t tighten the screw so much but keep it more loose it makes it smooth to game on. Sorry I really should have made an update video on that issue. Because I found that yeah using new stabilizers for the Wooting not just the TX but even the Knight V2 it gets sticky because of the padding they put
